@Rotron Yeah, I'm actually filing a lawsuit for injuries. I'm okay now for the most part, but I still have a couple of things that need improvement. Let's just say I now know what will happen to their home or building insurance premiums if I win. But as far as the show itself, it's so good. So, if you like legal shows with a dice of the cartel thrown into the mix, this show is for you.

@Rotron Oh, and Western. OMG. I'm also watching the prequels to Yellowstone. Yellowstone is pure soap opera western drama, but I think you'd enjoy these shows as well.

@djsoapbubble I'll check it out. I watched a lot of Western when I was a kid. Not much into them but if the story is interesting I'd watch it of course. The last Western / Cowboy themed movie I've seen was "The Power of the Dog". It had the WTF-effect by the end and it's got something gay in it but not that emphasized as you'd expect at those times. I thought I was gonna see Dr. Strange smooch a twinky ๐Ÿ˜ but you'll get a glimpse at his weiny.

@Rotron Oh, yeah. Power of the Dog was a good movie, and I remember the Oscar nominations it received, but it couldn't compete against CODA.

As far as the prequels and Yellowstone, they are all definitely western dramas, but Yellowstone definitely feels more "soap opera-esque" if that makes any sense, as there is family betrayal, fights, and just good filthy drama. I love it as it centers around the Dutton family, starring Kevin Costner as the family patriarch, as well as the cowboy ranchers, who also go through their trials and tribulations. I love the character of Bethโ€”she's a fuckin' bitch. I love her, although I do find her hysterectomy storyline a little far-fetched. But yeah, that's my girl right there.

The prequels to Yellowstone still revolve around the Dutton family, but it's more history-related, as it makes you feel what people went through during those times as far as socio-economic status, early diseases, famine, immigration, Christian "nationalism" against Native Indians, etc.,

I can't say 1883 or 1923 are as "soap-opera-esque" as compared to Yellowstone, but they are definitely good dramas with a great cast. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are in 1883 and Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford are in 1923.

I'm not trying to persuade you to watch it, lol! But all of these shows are filmed in beautiful locations. I wouldn't want to live there personally, as I'm a city boy, but the locations are absolutely majestic and breathtaking.

@djsoapbubble Thank you! I'll gladly check on them. Most of the actors and actresses you've mentioned definitely belong to my list of favourite stars. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Velma. I enjoy the adult humor/content integrated with a few familiar characters

@Rotron Yeah, I'd suggest heading over to RARBG or maybe 1337x. As you will see, there are a lot of seeders and thirsty leechers, lol! All three of these shows are hugely popular, and I'm sure Paramount is overjoyed.

@djsoapbubble I will. I go there when there's something I really can't find. They surely should.

I saw Velma listed in the torrent list, but it didn't register in my mind that it was Velma from Scooby-Doo Mysteries! Oh, yes! I am downloading this cartoon series! The only animated show I have and watch all the time is Bob's Burgers, so I hope this will be worth watching. God, I sound like a couch potato, lol!

@djsoapbubble It was an interesting take on the characters. There seems to be a lot of complaints about certain aspects, but honestly sometimes I just need crass humor like the stuff they seem to have in this series

@musclejizz Oh yeah, people were the same when it came to Maleficent. Remember? Because Disney made the decision to retell the story? I think anytime when something gets retold and breaks outside the traditional norm of familiarity, it's always going to receive negative critique. Another example of that would be Disney's new take on the Little Mermaid. Wait. What? Ariel can't possibly be a mermaid of color. No freakin' way. Yeah, that kind of mentality.

I'm on the last month of a free Apple TV+ subscription. I'm in the middle of S2 of Mythic Quest, which is surprisingly good and also the After Party - which is both different but also funny and good. Of course, I saw both seasons of Ted Lasso, but can also recommend a lot of their non-fiction stuff, especially HOME for those who like architecture and design, as well as their nature stuff - currently the dinosaur series but the nighttime film is great and the three seasons of the motorcycle travel with Ewan McGregor is also interesting. Of particularly interest, people might check out the documentary series Visible. And for those into SF, For All Mankind. I have not yet checked out the other stuff, like SEE, or FOUNDATION and probably won't until I decide to subscribe again in six months or so.

I had a friend who was letting me use their Netflix account for years but really found it to be a lot of dross and I am glad I never paid for it. I thought Q-Force was just really forcing what humor it had and generally badly scripted and conceptualized. I did enjoy the Sandman but I'm not really a fan of horror and I hope they move away from it for S2 as the graphic novels do. The parts of this series I enjoyed were the things like the story about Hob and the dreams of the cats, versus the stuff that tries to hit the horror elements.
