Thai society has moved forward. The laws should no longer be tied to traditional moral frameworks to justify the conservatives’ moral superiority at the expense of compassion and human rights.
Moreover, the law based on traditional values ends up aggravating corruption and intensifying sexual exploitation.

@Rotron yes ....in some European countries (primarily the Netherlands) Prostitution is legalized, in Italy it was about 70 years ago, but the problem has continued to exist as a clandestine situation ... the final solution would be to avoid prostitution, but in the meantime we must avoid the excesses

I fully support a well-regulated and fully taxed prostitution system.
Oddly enough though, feminism supports prostitution as it "empowers" women, but is against prostitution as men "use" women. We see thison social media with Only Fans. Feminists love that women do Only Fans, but hate the fact that men look at women on OF.
In the UK, under the guise of gender equality, men can not profit from prostitution. Pimps are illegal but madames are ok. I don't know how this law affects rentboys though.
In Nevada, prostitution is only legal in a brothel and only in towns with a population below a certain number. According to Wikipedia, any county with less than 700,000 people at the last US Census can have legal prostitution. This means that legalized prostitution can change every 10 years in Nevada.

@Rotron I have been to Thailand 5 times (the last being in 2015) and this is news to me that it is still not legalize, as prostitution in Thailand is very rampant and out in the open especially in Patpong being one of the red district in Bangkok

@kalayaan You are very right. I have been there 3 times and I made sure I get to cruise the red districts. Sadly a lot of them were closed already the last time I was there but was happy enough to try the different men there. Young and very varied coming from different countries. You'd see them dancing just right outside of the clubs. It was so cheap there during my first time. The drinks were expensive, the boys were cheap. We were just communicating through hand gestures.
A bottle of beer plus 3 beautiful boys all for Php1,500. What a deal! I had fun and slept happy. Haha, but the food was the best. I'd rather live there than in our own country.
Prostitution should really be legalised anywhere. It's the best solution and the oldest occupation. Out with the raids and let them pay taxes plus you give job opportunities to people who does not fit well due to lack of education.
