      Hi guys,

I just wonder if the rules for compilations have relaxed.

Not too long ago my site rip for Ace's Bedroom was rejected because it was about 7GB.  I was told I should split it up into parts of no more than 2GB. Now it's online from another uploader without problems.
Then there is the Boygusher site rip http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=108071 with almost 10GB.

      Any changes in moderation standards?

      Thanks,

      Ballard

In the case of the link you posted (and probably the other case you mentioned), what you are seeing is people that have Auto Approval not following the rules.

Actually not, because the Rules say:

Are there specials rules for uploading collections?

          Yes, there are.

Of course all of our upload rules (forbidden content, no duplicates…) do apply also for collections. We just ask for some special rules to make our work to approve collections a bit more easy so also collections can be approved in a reasonable time.

Please watch the following conditions for uploading collections:

          * Limit the size of your collection to 2 GB. Exceptions to this rule are complete TV seasons and(or site rips.
              * Break your collection down into parts if it exceeds 2GB, upload those parts as separate torrents.
Use the same main title with different part names (collection title - part 1, collection title - part 2… or a date like Parties Oct/2007, Parties Nov/2007...).
              * Do not upload collections of full length films.
              * List the file names contained within your collection in the Torrent-Description.
              * No external compressed (zip, rar, ...) video files. Neither single videos nor in collections!

I have marked the two interesting parts in bold red. This was made clear with that user.

Maybe I should have added the word Siterip…

            "Regarding your Upload Aces.Bedroom.complete.Solos.bareback.and.condom

            Hi ballard1,

I am sorry but I can not approve your torrent because it violates our rules for uploading collections.
You can read about collections in the rules and FAQ. The rules for collections are all laid out in the FAQ.
            http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/rules.php#102
            http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/faq.php#488

This upload should have been broken down into parts not to exceed 2GB."

i had the same thing happen, i was told to break a compilation of 14 clips into two.

then i saw the same compilation of 14 clips on the site a few days later!

that user's post was eventually deleted (probably because i complained- which was not my intention), so i tried doing what the moderator asked originally.
                the first was approved.

then the "volume 2" was deleted because 2 of the 7 clips were on other posted torrents that were 3 years old and had only 2 seeders each.

if anyone has ever tried downloading old torrents that have only 1, 2 or 3 seeders know, it takes a very long time- if you can even connect…

i guess i am saying i understand the rules, but think after a certain period of time and a certain number of seeders, that file duplicates in compilations be allowed.

no one will probably even read this except the moderator, so i am wasting my energy being upset.

What's inconsistent is that nearly every e-book compilation torrent on the site has some duplicates and yet they still get approved or not deleted.

Thanks for telling us. I'll double my vigilance  :police: on e-books. Please report such torrents.

Another point to add is that with the mass volume of torrents, and the number of torrents that contain collections, it is sometimes possible for moderators to make a mistake and overlook something. As well, the other thing to take into account is that we do also have users with auto-approval status. The problem that this presents is that sometimes users with auto-approval do not always follow the rules as closely as they should. This sometimes results in torrents reaching the list of torrents visible to all users that do not follow the rules.

Again as Uwe suggested, please report such torrents because it helps us enforce the rules. It is never a problem to report a torrent if it is in violation of one of the rules.

I'd like to add something about the efficiency of moderator activity when it comes to collections.

You have to agree that there is a significant difference between a collection of 10 files, each file ~200 MB, and a collection of 100 files, each ~20 MB. Of course it takes much less time to look for and eventually find duplicates for the ~200 MB than for those ~20 MB.

If moderators were engaged in searching for duplicates for each of these microscopic files, which often have unpronounceable names (like absfbegbrgborgbonor.avi), imagine how much valuable time will be wasted. And many accuse us that we don't approve torrents fast enough.

So please, have mercy on us, we aren't robots… 😢

This is very true… Although, if we underwent some intense surgery, we could be the next best thing... Cyborgs :lolp:
