Exactly. You don't even have to admit it. We all know very well that you CANNOT answer for Clinton taking 90% of the funds raised for the Haiti charity. Period. 1. Reason I brought Netflix up was because they released a really gross movie called "Cuties", I mean they've released some weird shit already( 13 Reasons why and Big mouth).
2. In a sense cancel culture could be considered a form of totalitarianism, but it depends on it's usage. I think the Main problem is that Cancel Culture has gone Berserk where people just cancel based on mistakes from the past, however, it's still useful to fight against people like shane dawson, onision, Harvey Weinstein, and all these other weirdos. The problem is balance and stability, and there is an over-use of cancelling. -
1. In a capitalist society you vote in such private entities/platform with your wallet. You don't like "cuties"? don't watch it. They'll pull it out for low ratings. If they brought to viewers or is renewed for a second season is because people like it (or at least they think they would). Just because you don't like it doesn't make it should be canceled. Do I think is disturbing and weird? sure I do, but we can't tell them to cancel it just because you don't agree with it. This is the definition of cancel culture.

Now, I've never watched a shane dawson video don't even like but, putting shane dawson (surely, a weirdo by some people's standards) in the same category as Harvey Weinstein, a convicted rapist and other sexual acts paints you as a dishonest person and someone that paints everyone with the same brush. Why should we cancel Shane Dawson for what he did in the past doing black face? even if people found funny (since he had thousands of views)? If someone made a racially charged joke in the 80s and now is being brought up, should they be cancelled? even people enjoyed and were ok with that in the past?

The problem with Shane is that he kept repeating his mistakes, he did it WAY more than once, making the same jokes( which weren't funny at all). Onision is still grooming, he shamed black girls hair, and has a number of victims, not only that, sending dick pics to girls who probably don't know wtf they're doing, and worst of all, throwing these creepy fits and trying to get people to feel bad for him, when in reality, going to the forest and sleeping in your car isn't going to help, but make things worse, and Harvey had been doing awful stuff up until his arrest, against 100+ women( sexual harrassment or assault), and almost 20 counts of rape. Also, yes you're right about cuties, not gonna watch that, but the reason why I'm upset about the film, is because people keep making the excuse that it's supposed to combat the sexualization of children, but instead, it sexualizes children itself. How the hell does that even Work? It makes the film pointless, as well as the same thing.
Now on the mistakes: If shane just did it ONCE or twice, then it'd be fine, however, he still continued to do all these racist/predatory jokes that ended up being disgusting and turning him into a weirdo. Not only that, his comedy is very dry and has no complex structure to his jokes. He ain't a comedian, he's a youtuber doing the dumbest and creepiest things. Onision continously repeated all the awful shit, and appears to have no remorse about what he's done. And Harvey is WAY beyond being "Forgiven", considering how disgusting his crimes are.
