Recent headlines highlight Dr. Rick Bright, the federal scientist whose terminal sin was challenging Donald Trump’s coronavirus quackery. But the GOP’s aversion to expertise did not originate with Trump—or his disastrous response to COVID-19.
“It’s hard to know,” writes Max Boot, “exactly when the Republican Party assumed the mantle of the ‘stupid party.’” But one might look to the 1970s as the gateway to a politically calculated dismissal of scientific knowledge.
Having allied with evangelicals over social issues, the GOP’s political class found it expedient to honor fundamentalists’ most fundamental premise: creationism. Evangelicals flocked—and the GOP became an anti-evolutionary haven. As recently as last year, Gallup found that 55 percent of self-identified Republicans—as compared to 40 percent of the general population—agree with the statement “God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so.”
Conservative media vilified evolutionary science. “Everybody that believes in Darwinism is corrupt,” pronounced Rush Limbaugh in 2010. “Liberals love anything that allows them to say there’s no God.”

Yea, there's no science whatsoever behind this Covid SCAMDEMIC. It's designed to collapse the economy, (Walmart and all the big boys get to stay open while all the Mom and Pops die.) And not just Mom and Pop restaurants, just wait til the evictions start and people can't afford to pay their rent. This is all by design by the Dems to destroy this country and it's about to get nasty. The Democratic Party is openly committing TREASON and everyone knows it. They're protesting the mail in voting due to covid by not social distancing and not wearing masks, in big groups. I guess there's no chance of getting the Coronavirus in Walmart or at a protest, so let's just end free speech for people who just want to go to Church. I'm not Christian but it's totally obvious that the Dems are trying to destroy this country.

Let's not forget that the big boy corporations bailed out looters so they could go loot mom and pop some more? That's their competition. It's about Trump, to make the economy look bad, but it's mostly just the plan that these big companies have had in store for a long time. Destroy the middle class. Democrats love that. They're all in bed together. Raise your taxes and let them pay nothing.
Plus, science? What about the doctor that cured hundreds of patients with Hydroxy? No, she got banned. No discussion on whether she was right by the media, because media is owned by big pharma and big vax and big microchip and big tech. The corporations have merged. The biggest monopoly ever. There's zero science behind the SCAMDEMIC. It's BIll Gates patent number 060606. Less than .003 percent die. It's insanity that we're shutting it down over this, and of that small number, it's 99% obese and elderly.
