Syracuse University was rocked by a series of hate crimes, none of them violent, except to those who believe words/symbols are violence.
Things got so bad that students refused to go to class and even their part time jobs off campus. There's a video of a group of girls being interviewed about the situation and they were crying so hard that snot was gushing out of their noses.
Campus, local and state police, as well as the FBI, investigated.
What they found was that despite how terrified students were, there is absolutely no evidence that anything actually happened. Thousands of cell phones on campus, but no one has any photos of the swastikas and other hate symbols that supposedly plastered the campus. Despite claims of a "neo-nazi manifesto" being air dropped to people's phones, no one seems to have actually had it happen to them.
Rumors created mass hysteria, which melted an entire university of snowflakes.
As a side note: I thought snowflakes love swastikas since they hate jews so much. There are a few videos of jewish students getting violently attacked simply for being jewish on campus.
