I've been dealing with a sore shoulder/triceps for over a year now.  Started with softball and now, I need to put a muscle relaxant on it almost daily.  Anyone recommend some good shoulder/tricep exercises to strength that part of the body?  Thanks.

Hi - if you've had soreness for over a year I'd get a medically qualified person to look at that such as a physiotherapist or similar.  I think you need to find out what's going on there first before possibly aggravating it, as if its rotar cuff related that can take a while to heal and if aggravated will cause a lot of ongoing injuries that will limit what you can do in the gym and certain sports like swimming and tennis for example.

Definitely get it checked out.  If it's muscle soreness after a weight training workouts that you know are causing it, build up with smaller weights and don't rush it.  Warm up and cool down to help remove lactic acid.

It's because you said it's been going on for a while makes me think you need a physio/osteo to check it out.  They'll treat it/give you remedial exercises to improve it and supporting tendons and so on.

        Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, i need to go see a doc as it's been over a year.  I think it was caused by softball/weight training combo
