"Ellie" was a top e-sports player. She was 17you and a chick. She was #4 in the US.
People started to question her validity because she came from nowhere and immediately went to the top of the ranks. After watching "Ellie" gameplay videos, people started to notice that her play style was identical to a male player.
MSM started screeching about sexism and GamerGate. They even interviewed "Ellie".
Turns out, the scummy woman-hating menz (according to MSM and feminists) were totally correct. "Ellie" was actually "Punisher" a male top e-sports player.
Not surprisingly, MSM has doubled down and still demonizing men over this.
