Windows 10 Update incompatible with Easy Settings (Samsung laptop)
-
I am not sure where a question like this should go so I will give it a try here…
I have a Samsung laptop and, like many others, I upgraded to Windows 10 without knowing that before doing it you had to remove Easy Settinsg which cames on Samsung laptops. Windows 10 updates conflicting with Easy Settings is causing some issues like not neededacculumation of update data and sometimes other problems. I have tried to remove Easy Settings using Control Panel but it doesn't work; the app has been locked for "protection", and I don't know what can be done to get rid of this problem. Samsung seems completely uninterested in helping clients like me.
I was wondering if there is someone who may know how to solve thos problem in a way that is understandable for people like me who are not professional...
If someone can help me that would be awesome.

Hmm, after you have upgraded to Windows 10, the license is tied to your hardware. If you have no qualms with your data, you could go nuclear and re-install windows 10 so you have a clean start. I'm not sure how reliable the Refresh or Reset function is for Windows 10 upgraded computers.
Have you tried uninstalling it while in Safe Mode? Or manually going to the Program Directory and running the uninstall.exe program if it still has the Uninstall program?
May I ask what version of Windows you have before you upgraded?

I can assist you with that. The answer is actually quite complicated. Simply put, you need to more or less surgically remove it from your computer and your system registry somewhat manually with a couple of tools and the Registry Editor itself. This is something I have a lot of experience with. I can assist you with it using TeamViewer if you're interested.
