Trump vs Bannon

Now that the two have split, which side are you on, if any?

Actually, they have not split. Bannon has been apologizing and praising and kissing Trump's ass for the past 3 days.
Bannon also said yesterday that he wasn't calling Don Jr. treasonous and unpatriotic, but that comment was meant to be about Paul Manafort. The author of the book considers himself to be a mind reader, and insists it was about Don Jr. even though Don Jr's name wasn't mentioned. Regardless.. Bannon is clearly stating now that he was referring to Paul Manafort.
What Bannon claims is obviously true.. because Don Jr. isn't even being accused of doing anything treasonous and unpatriotic. Manafort IS being accused of money laundering.. at the time Manafort was working with lobbyists including the democrat Pedosta brothers in support of Obama. When Trump became aware of the reasons Manafort parted ways with the democrats, he fired Manafort. That "Fire and Fury" book turned out to be much ado about nothing. The author was just making crazy bold statements to drum up sales.

I don't care about being on a side, but I do care about truth.

If the book was lying about what Bannon said then why did Bannon need to apologise?
Trump said the book was a work of fiction. So what did he start attacking Bannon for?

He was apologizing for ever talking to that whacko author Wolff.. and also explained how Wolff distorted his comments.

They are both nut jobs, but if you ask the question, "who has a history of telling lies?", the answer is obvious. I don't agree with Bannon's political views, but at least he tells the truth.

You moonbats are always on the attack.. anarchists if you will.
Why don't you tell us someone prominent who DOES tell the truth? I can't wait. -
Hey everyone, let's all agree to have a discussion without name-calling.

Bannon was blasted to little pieces because Trump overreacted and felt disrespected. Like the baby he is, he just couldn't let his former trusted adviser and campaign manager off the hook no matter how much he apologized. In the end, Bannon got kicked out of Breitbart.
Trump just didnt want to give Bannon a break. The truth hurts, specially when it's spoken by someone you trusted as a top adviser who helped you win the presidency. -

By the way, Bannon's apologies came AFTER Trump blasted Bannon.
Also, Bannon didn't help Trump. He was always a liability. You can go back to your cave now.

Aww is that the best you can do? Tsk. You've gotten soft having no one to bother to argue with you.
First off- your blatant lie about me condemning Bannon… Please point to even ONE instance before this thread that I even mentioned him. He's always been unimportant to me since he's just your run of the mill alt right nut. Uninteresting.
Second- if Bannon was such a liability... Why did Trumpy himself pick him to lead the campaign? Why did Trumpet hand pick and appoint him to be part of the inner circle in the White House? Deny the truth all you want, but it just looks silly and desperate since all of these facts are readily available in the public record. So fun to relive old times Fred. Too bad mhorn is gone. Ciao!

Mhorn is indeed gone… and like in Star Wars, there must always be balance. Hmm.. who is on the LEFT that might disappear to restore the balance? Perhaps if one looked at the list of the members with the lowest reputations of all the members of this site.. such as YOU.

One of the most interesting and humorous aspects of the way Trump supporters who would not too long ago would have licked Bannon's boots is how they rationalise turning against him. It is interesting because exactly the same process will be replicated in a few months as they turn on Trump himself.
It will probably happen most spectacularly when their social media echo chambers can no longer withstand the already massive weight of evidence against Trump over Russian influence on the election scandal.
For most thinking people, whether or not there was collusion (though there clearly was), whether or not it effected the result of the election (which it did), the mere fact that an enemy of the USA spent millions of dollars and massive effort to help Trump win the US presidency is something that can't be backed away from. It will be extremely hard for any professional journalist or politician who supports Trump to try to deny that they did not realise the significance of that simple and well established fact. The process of them trying to do it will be very interesting for when Trump goes, thousands of careers in politics and journalism also end.
It is hard to imagine how the die hard Trump supporters will handle having their views so strongly repudiated by a restored American democracy. They will have no voice in the media and no one in politics representing them. Some will likely resort to terrorism and civil violence. Some will find a voice in pathetic and cowardly hate groups like the KKK. It will be fun to watch from a distance.
