Early today, North Korea set off a nuclear H-Bomb, at least 10 times as powerful as the last nuclear bomb they tested, and 6 times as powerful as the bomb dropped on Nagasaki.

When I first heard this, I thought that they did this as a show of force to counter the annual joint USA / South Korean war games.  If that were the case, NK would at least have a reason, although an illegitimate reason for setting off that H-Bomb.

BUT, I have since found out that was NOT the case!  The annual war games ENDED over a WEEK AGO!  So, there is no reason whatsoever (TroopK's favorite word) for North Korea to set off that H-Bomb.

North Korea has emphatically stated that they will not end their nuclear nor ICBM programs.  They have also consistently been illegally selling arms, planes, and technology to Iran, any terrorists with the money, etc.

I would like to hear what can possibly done to stop North Korea from blackmailing the world with nukes other than to attack them?

Angela Merkel's plan is to just pay them extortion money.  That's quite ironic, since Angela Merkel won't even pay Germany's share of funding NATO.

One other thing.. this isn't just a North Korea vs USA issue.  There is no way that Japan is going to tolerate being held hostage by North Korea.  Unlike the USA, Japan does not have any problem with making sacrifices.
