True murder trial event.. how insane is this?

Have any of you ever heard of the father of a murder victim thanking the defense attorney? I haven't!
He went on TV thanking the Defense Attorney by name. At the same time, he set up a website asking for donations for himself and his wife who were both 60. The victim was 33. The father also called the accused a monster and wanted him executed even though that country has no death penalty. The father attended the trial, but was almost never in the courtroom. Instead, he would walk around smoking outside. The father was constantly creating a media storm by begging to speak with the accused man. After the trial was over, the accused man agreed to speak with the father. During the trial, the defense attorney would not allow the accused to speak with the father. After the trial, the father refused to speak with the accused man! In other words, he only said he wanted to speak to the accused to cause trouble for the accused.
I once contacted the father, and told him I had 100% evidence that his son was killed by at LEAST 2 people. I didn't say the accused was innocent, because that might have turned the father off. Instead of responding to me, he blocked me from contacting him again! The father had not seen his son in 15 years.. and was not even aware that his son was gay.
