Don't create multiple Accounts… Every single case causes banning of ALL accounts!!!
Please keep in mind that also creating an account for your friend, visitor, whatever from your IP address will also count as a duplicate account, because you use the same IP address.
Same is valid for visitors. Never ever use two accounts from the same IP address or let a visitor use your computer to use his own account from your place (and vice versa too) - that will inevitably lead to detection and catch both accounts as duplicate accounts.- I HAVE NO REASONS WATSOEVER,IT PISSES ME OFF, WHY? BECAUSE, WHAT IF YOUR IN A FRIENDS PLACE, FOR NO MALICIOUS REASON OR ANY BAD PLAN IN MIND, YOU WANTED TO SHOW A FRIEND SOME THING IN THIS SITE AND YOU OPENED YOUR ACCT. JUST SHOW SOMETHING, NO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. THEN YOU GET BANNED…DONT YOUTHINK THAT IS A BIT RUDE. YOU BAN SOMEONEWHEN HE STARTS DOWNLOADING SUMTNG USING HIS ACCT IN DIFFERENT IP ADRESSES..NOT LIKE THIS..

OK, besides your shouting let me try to explain why we use that rule (with friend visit):
The main part of our duplicate account detection relies on the IP used (plus some more methods I won't explain in detail here). If you can tell me about a fool proof method how to find out (on our server's side) how to distinguish if behind two different accounts on one and the same IP/computer are two different persons : you're welcome to contact me via PM to discuss such an option.
BTW: a question on help desk in case you got such a duplicate account warning (and you think it is not correct) has helped in (nearly) all cases with such "friends visit" - but please don't "just" report your account or contact an admin personally, admins have more things to do - if there is admin-work to do with such a request the staff members will forward this request to an admin automatically.
another BTW: when we detect duplicate accounts you are not immediately banned (usually if a duplicate account occurs for the first time). You get a warning for arbitrary time and your upload/download rights are taken away. You can use other parts of our site (like this forum) despite the warning.

If you are at friends place and they have an account already that can be detected by our tracker as a dupe…..then why not say to your friend "Hey go to gaytorrents.ru, I want to show you something?"
Logic would state that IF you are not downloading anything then why risk being flagged as a dupe account to "show" a friend something? All members can see the same information on this tracker with the exception of AA users. They can see one other part of our forums that non AA users cannot.
If it is a PM you have received that you want to show a friend then forward it to them when you get home. ::)
I don't know the exact statistic but I would wager to say for every 1 "innocent" dupe account detection there are probably 10 "guilty" users who are just to lazy to keep their ratio in order and try to cheat the system. :police:
As a moderator or admin it also makes it hard to see your point of view when we review accounts flagged as dupes and BOTH account histories are littered with low ratio warnings or dl rights have been taken away.
