Pimple around the mouth?

Sometimes I get pimples around my mouth. I'm worried they might be herpes.

So called "cold sores" are actually caused by the herpes virus. But this board is no place to seek a diagnosis. Go see a doctor.

If they appear right on the edge of the lips, they are probably herpes. Not much you can do about it, except try to avoid spreading it and using an antiviral cream as soon as the cold sores appear. My dentist once told me they have a laser that is supposed to stop any particular nerve location from breaking out again, if they use it just when a breakout starts. I have no idea if that actually works, though.
Now, if they appear very frequently (more than 1 to 3 times per year), I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. They may have other treatments you can try.
