So basically I've heard all about the high-traffic freeleech torrents and such. But I'm not very interested in the contents of them, I'd only download them to get more upload traffic.
The interesting torrents have only a few seeders and no leechers. I've downloaded some of them just after redeeming my invite. But I seem to be the only one interested in them, for a very long time. So zero upload traffic for them.

Is downloading and uploading freeleech torrents really the only way for me to get more traffic, in this special case?

I struggled just like you at the start to keep my ratio up. You just need to be patient and keep seeding, while keeping your downloads under control.
In the beginning it can be so hard to stop downloading since there are so many good titles. But if you just hold off, be patient and try to find things you can upload, trust me you'll have your ratio up and running.

Don't look at how popular a freeleech is- just grab the ones that appeal to you and leave your computer running to build up your seed bonus which you can trade in for points. Also, as I mentioned, try to upload something- it will boost your ratio and you get 600 bonus points for your very first upload. Good luck!

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short.
But shout it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

It would seem that there are actually people downloading the contents. This would suggest that you are a passive node, or not connectable, which our tracker does not like at all. This is different than a lot of other trackers. To solve this, find out what port number your torrent client uses, then make sure that it is forwarded from your modem/router to your computer in both TCP and UDP, then restart your torrent client. This should solve your issue.

Also, I will look over the torrents in your profile and see what I can do to drum up some more traffic for you.

My torrent client says that I have a "strong" connection, and I have set up the NAT rules correctly. I think I have rather a very special interest. This morning someone else finally downloaded one of the torrents and my ratio just barely went above the threshold now 😛

It really is, my upload traffic barely moved these past few months so I've been putting off downloading here if I could find the video I wanted elsewhere.

You just have to keep your downloads continually seeding, albeit that is much easier when you have a seedbed like I do. And when you see something you like added, try to be one of the first few leechers, which will, in turn, make you one of the first few seeders.
