Aaron Hernandez Suicide - Gay/Bi Issues?
-
Former NFL football star Aaron Hernandez was already serving a life sentence for murder when he was acquitted of two other murders on April 14. Four days later he was found hanged in his prison cell. Since then, his gay/bi activities have been discussed in the press.
In fact, he had been both bullied and blackmailed, and it may be that it was being taunted in public with an anti-gay slur that lead to the 2013 killing for which he was locked up. The NY Daily News has the story:
See also http://tinyurl.com/mbhgrw2 about his high school relationship. More recently, he is said to have had a prison boyfriend to whom he wrote a suicide note. http://tinyurl.com/mbhgrw2
That note, along with messages to his fiancee and their four-year-old daughter was found next to a Bible opened to John 3:16– a verse Hernandez had written on his forehead with a red marker. It would seem that besides struggling to stay in the closet, the apparent bisexual was influenced by religion." Here's another account:
[The reference to the Biblical book of John is religious shorthand amounting to "Jesus saves" and is rather a fetish with some enthusiasts.]
The 6-foot-1, 245-pound former tight end for the Boston Patriots was a fine-looking man, though. He was 27 years old.

I remember there was some whispering regarding his "relationship" with the guy he was serving time for killing.
He's about to "make bank" with the Pats, and maybe this other guy was perhaps "suggesting" that some of that cash should come his way…or else (but you know gossip)

I doubt it. When his dad died in 2006, he went into a crime spiral. The NFL was his last hope and he got mixed up in not one but two major crimes during his stint. I think it was the prospect of spending the rest of your life in an 8x8 cement box and never being free again. Suicide must have been an easier escape because his life came crashing down in a fiery wreckage.
