The New Healthcare Bill

I'm still kind of shuddering here after reading about the details of the weird Frankenstein hybrid ACA health care plan the Republicans released today.
What the hell is that? Do they legitimately think that's good policy making?
Were going to be subsidizing low income earners while charging older people 5 times more (An increase from 3 times)?!? I'm sure that's what the older Republican voters were asking for, to pay 60% more for health care …
The tax credits aren't going to cover the cost anyways, so low income, young Americans will just drop their insurance since the mandate is being axed...
I'm looking at this from the perspective of an insurance company, this plan is seriously bad for the business ... I can't imagine it being better for people either ...
I love how they plan to pay for it...
/facepalm

Lyin Ryan can't wait to kill poor people. He is far more dangerous to America than some terrorist.

Trumps plan makes women ineligible for tax credits if their plan covers abortion. It doesn't matter if they actually received an abortion or not. Just the fact that their plan covers it makes them ineligible. This is some mind boggling stuff.
I'd like to know if Republicans are going to be so willing to pony up the cash for all of these unwanted babies. They end up in the foster care system and taxpayers have to pay for housing, food, healthcare, education, clothing, lawyers, judges, social workers, etc. Restricting abortion to these levels will result in the biggest expansion of government we have ever seen.

So are we going to be playing ping-pong in 4 or 8 years to get rid of whatever trash program the GOP pushes through? It's almost worth it for the schaudenfreude of watching the racist hicks who opposed ObamaCare just because it was proposed by Obama realize how screwed they are… almost.

The problem is marketing. There are too many different names. At the top level you have ObamaCare and ACA which are the same thing. Then you have Medicaid which most states have a different name for it. Then you have the exchange plans also called Qualified Health Plans (or QHP) which states with exchanges often have a different name for using some variation of the word "connect".
Then in addition to all of that there is Medicare, Chip. Medicare Advantage, Part A, Part B, Part D, and thousands of different names for health plans. There are also many many smaller government health programs that I won't even mention with different names. I can totally understand why people are so confused.
