What was the first video game you ever completed?
-
For myself, it was Sonic the Hedgehog. The game that was built in to the Sega Master System.
That was in about 1999. It was the only game we had in our entire house and my brother and I played it. I was the first to complete it in the house and it was on a day when my mom let me have a sickie from school.I loved bragging about that to my brother.
-
Final Fantasy VII–-god now I do feel old. I also remember those "in house" rivalries...when I bet the first dungeon of Legend of Zelda - Link's awakening I made my father promise to tell my sister I did it without any help. Good times
-
Thief: The Dark Project, I was obsessed with medieval stuff back then and it's cover immediately caught my attention from seeing it in some random window display.. so I just grabbed it and gave it a try, it's probably thanks to it that I have such a love for gaming.. and it's still one of my favorite video-games ever(along with it's two sequels).
-
Dang…Thief again...when I went to school everybody was raving about it...but guess who had a crappy PC back then...
-
Donkey Kong Country
and then it was Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-
The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck on the Sega Master System
-
Megan man 3 , good times.
-
Either Super Mario Bros or Kirby's Adventure for the NES. I was probably like 5 at the time so it's hard to remember exactly. The first game I have strong recollection of actually completing on my own is Final Fantasy III (VI).
-
Super Mario Bros 3
-
Super Mario World. The original.
-
Never did, lol. I don't have the patience to do so.
-
Mine was Leisure Suit Larry 1 back in the days
-
I think the first game I actually completed was the first Grandia, which is 60+ hours long…I was just so wrapped up in the story and characters. It was my first JRPG as well!!! Everything before that had been platformers (which always got too difficult for me to complete) and fighters (which I don't think counts?).
-
I'm terrible with actually completing games, usually something distracts me. But I did manage to get all the way through both of the next gen Tomb Raiders.
-
Kyrandia 2: The Hand of Fate
A pretty unknown fantasy adventure game, its fun, it's quirky, it's part of a trilogy.
-
I think it was one of the Infocom crime mysteries or a Sierra game.
-
Street Fighter two and Leisure Suit Larry 1
-
NES Super Mario Bros 3
-
Tomb Raider 1 (1996) on PC
-
The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past
