THIS or THAT: the game
-
Kentucky Derby… it's a great party.
Hamburgers or hot dogs?
-
Hamburgers. I make from scratch.
ketchup or mustard
-
A dijon mustard.
Going medieval… you're sentenced to death and get to choose the Pear of Anguish, or the Catherine Wheel?
-
Those are… extremely hurtful, I'd go Catherine Wheel.
Talking about ways of dying, burn at the stake or getting into the iron maiden?
-
Me scared of fire! Fire, bad! I would choose the Iron Maiden and hope for one extra spike through the forehead, to shorten the agony.
Science fiction THIS or THAT: You see a strange, shimmering, alien portal in the forest. You walk through it, and it disappears.
Well, it wasn't a standard time portal, it's still 2018. But YOU changed. Would you rather discover that you had become five years younger, or had gained telepathic powers?
-
Physically 5 years younger.
Interesting factoid from sci-fi Conventions. After the advent of Twitter and Facebook; the interest in knowing what other people were REALLY thinking dropped like a rock.
I'd still prefer either telekinesis or healing.Be able to change people's thoughts or change people's emotions
-
To change people's Thoughts, or Emotions… I think a case could be made that if you have control of either one, it would give you at least partial influence over the other.
Changing people's Thoughts sounds a bit more like Orwellian mind control. I would choose the ability to change people's Emotions, with an emphasis on bringing a little happiness or peacefulness to those in difficult times. Where's that damn angel...?
Star Trek THIS or THAT: Meeting William Shatner or Patrick Stewart in person? (Or, THIS or THAT fucking them in their prime, if you prefer.) >:D
-
I have met both Shatner and Stewart. So, fucking.
I had the hots for Shatner when he made "Devil's Rain".The same question with Leonard Nimoy and Zachery Quinto.
-
Leonard Nimoy
Star Trek or Star Wars?
-
Star Trek, please (with shirtless Leonard Nimoy, a very nice surprise).
1960s TV monster comedies: The Addams Family, or The Munsters?
-
The Addams Family.
The Dick Van Dyke Show or I Love Lucy?
-
Really, both show are a "THIS," but I have seen most of the I Love Lucy shows a zillion times, including the later ones, where they moved from New York City to Upstate.
I'm giving my THIS to The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966) for another great ensemble cast, and in particular, in honor of veteran comedy actress Rose Marie. She played a television comedy writer, Sally Rogers, and was treated in the "pitch and script meetings" as an equal – which was very progressive for the times. Rose Marie just passed away on December 28, 2017, at age 94.
Seoul 2018 Winter Olympics THIS or THAT: Watch the final of the men's water polo, or weightlifting?
-
Water polo. Not a huge fan for very beefy guys like bodybuilders… but that's just me.
jello or pudding?
-
Pudding.
The Simpsons or Family Guy?
-
It has to be Family Guy. I like the raunchier humor, as well as fights between Peter and the Angry Chicken:
Oh, and in my previous Seoul Olympics THIS or THAT, both choices I gave were summer sports, and thus errors.
So, REVISED Seoul 2018 Winter Olympics THIS or THAT: Watch the final of the men's ice hockey, or snowboarding?
-
Probably snowboarding…
Here's a weird one I just thought of... Forced to wear shorts in 0 degree weather or forced to wear jeans in 100 degree weather (Fahrenheit)?
-
Forced to wear jeans in 100 degrees (at least you have your sweet to cool your legs down a bit I guess)
Catch your boyfriend cheating on you or being caught cheating on your boyfriend?
-
Is there a neither option? lol
Probably catching my bf cheating on me. At least I'd know what kind of person my bf is and I'd find someone better.
Dom or sub?
-
I enjoy guys who are not at the hard (pun?) end (pun?) of either point on the spectrum. But in general, I like the driver's seat over the back seat (pun!).
THIS or THAT? South Park's Terrance or Phillip.
-
Phillip, defo. Simply because Terrence weight fluctuates way too much.
South Park: Stan Marsh or Kyle Broflovski?
