Why does gt.ru have so many issues other torrent sites never do?
-
goes offline by itself randomly
trackers need manual update- green and blue turn brown/red randomlyif the other torrent sites i used did this even occasionally i would wonder if it was my settings or computer- but it is only gt.ru…
i keep seeing how improvements are being made, but i don't see anything work better...
i sound ungrateful maybe, but it's just annoying ???

and when the help desk is alerted, they usually respond that it's my settings- but my settings are what they recommend- here is an example today:
-
I've experienced the same problem but I usually find that it's only for a few minutes here and there. I put it down to the traffic overloading the system but I have to agree it is frustrating at times. Personally I have found the mods to be terrific in responding as well as in their advice though!

I'm glad to see it's not just me. Before I rejoined this site a few months ago, I had a stellar ratio. Now that I'm back, I wish I could reclaim that ratio, because no matter what I do, I can't pull my ratio out of the toilet. My torrents just will….not....seed!. I even downloaded a whole bunch of the most popular torrents (stuff I didn't even want), but I couldn't connect to any peers in order to superseed. Today, I'm able to seed for a few minutes at a time, but I have to keep checking my client because all of my torrent statuses suddenly say "Scrape Error: File Not Found". And when I do manage to connect with anyone, my upload speed rarely reaches above a measily 50kb/s.
I would blame my Vuze client, or my VPN, both of which have given me endless problems. However, whenever I download a torrent from anywhere except here, I am able to connect with peers and pay it back….eventually.
I recently bought a Galaxy s7 and a Gear VR, and I've fallen in LOVE with VR porn. I'm trying to grab every file I can find here. Unfortunately, in spite of prior generosity, my inability to seed has fucked my ratio to the point that I'm probably going to get banned. Sucks to be me, I guess.
(And "no", I have no interest in donating money in order to fix my ratio. If the torrents here weren't so glitchy, I wouldn't need to.)

I had the same problems until I contacted my IP provider and we got it fixed. I use VDSL and use a router for my home network. We set up the VDSL modem in Bridge mode with my router. They also helped me set up a port which is now dedicated to Bittorent and have had no problems since.
Since then both my downloads and my seeding has been fantastic. If I'm seeding multiple torrents (15 or more) it slows a little but I'm getting seeding at 1.21 - 1.51 MB's if I'm only seeding 3 or 4 torrents and even 65.4Kb's when doing multiple torrent seeding. I have 25MB's speed down and 10 MB's up for downloading. If you are having an problem make sure you have an open Port for Bittorrent (or whichever torrent program you're using) and it's set up in your torrent program. You can get info on how to do this yourself on the Port Forwarding site, although they will try to sell you their program for Port Forwarding….. trust me, you don't need their software. Just follow the links on the site to get the info you need and it's easy to follow. Good luck and hope this help!

I show you seeding one torrent that has many seeders and few leechers. So you can seed.
Then the "out of the box" setting of Vuze/Azureus doesn't work well with our tracker having the scrape support switched off (a rather seldom configuration). This can be overcome by using the settings in Vuze/Azureus as indicated there: http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=16166.0

Thank you for your response. I'll try your suggestion.

Not very well, since I'm not actually seeding one torrent, I've been seeding eighteen of them. And since the site doesn't recognize that fact, I'm not even building any bonus points.

You only earn 0.5 bonus even if you are seeding more than one. So you are earning. I would turn the scrape off and reset your torrent software.

Every site has it's issue's! Just be grateful we have what we have, there will always be room for improvement and it seems their striving for just that.

That's strange I was able to log into my account that was inactive for over 800 days and I still had my ratio and everything intact … but maybe that was just a glitch or something

I suppose. "Username not found or Account is not enabled".
After a discussion with PIA's support staff, I was able to fix (sort of) the problem. I'm seeding a lot more, but I'm still encountering a lot of times when a torrent (and this site) say that there are peers downloading my files, but my Vuze doesn't see them. Whatever. I'll just keep seeding as much as I can, and eventually this will work out.

we receive round about 1.5 Million requests per hour. sorry for the bad experience you guys have from time to time… since the last changes it should be much better.... i have some more optimization ideas for the future and increasing amount of requests..
If a client cannot connect to the tracker, it accumulates the seeding/leeching amount of data and reports it as soon as it can connect again. So stay tuned and just keep your clients running.
-
for me it seems the "improvements" have made it more regularly offline- a couple years ago I don't remember this happening almost every day…
-
No one ever says WHY only gt.ru has ALL THESE ISSUES?
EVERY site I use has private trackers and as one can see if they look at the screen shot, my connections are fine
Hello? -
we receive round about 1.5 Million requests per hour
@xavrin
Most of the other torrent sites are more reliable 'cause they rely over a distributed network of trackers,
but this is not the case for gaytorrent.ru (by choice and design because it's a private tracker).@Joker
An average of 420 req/s is not that much for nginx, so I bet you're I/O bound by the tracker.
I suggest you to just use your web server as a load balancer for the tracker requests (offloaded to an additional number of machines),
of course if your budget permits  -

Keep up the good work!

It's actually more than that… Remember... We are the world's largest free online video collection. As such, we receive a crapload more network traffic than any other site out there, which is largely what sets us apart from the other sites. For this reason, sometimes the tracker simply cannot keep up, resulting in time outs for some users.
@xavrin I get that you're frustrated, but this is at LEAST the FOURTH post of yours on this topic. Just beware as this can be considered forum spamming, which does have consequences.

In general, I think I get what I pay for, the same as the other gay torrent sites I visit

Good to hear from you again cannonmc. It's been a couple of days :)_
