Final Fantasy XV

Are there any final fantasy fans?? I'm looking forward to FF15 - and I've been reading that Gladius has a bromance with one of the other guys.
Gay things aside I love the game and I'm a total nerd for it!! Excited!!

Here, here!! I'm a FF nerd as well and CANNOT WAIT. I don't currently own a PS4 but I'll probably buy one just for this game! lol

Haha yes! It seems like a massive boyfest in Final Fantasy 15. FF13 had basically a lesbian couple so I'm hoping that they have two males this time around.
I thought it was Gladius and Prompto but I don't know if the gaming world is ready for that.

i stopped caring about FF when they decided you could play only one character in your team
i'm sure it'll be a great AAA open world game, but i just wanted a good rpg

Hey guys…..as someone who's not played Final Fantasy before...but is really intrigued by the little things I see here and there....
I'm really thinking about catching up on FF so I can follow FF XV when it comes out....
But, I'm not sure how to start since there are so many of them!!
Should I just start from the first game and go from there?
It seems like it could take forever though....LOL
There's just so many.....or is there a better way of catching up by not having to go through all the games?Since I am really going into this blind and have no idea what the story is about,
I also don't wanna search too much about it to avoid any spoilers I may come across accidentally...
So I was wondering if anyone who's familiar with the game would advise someone like me to start the game,
and which ones are the most important ones to NOT Miss playing...thankz

You don't have to play them in order. Each of the games has its own storyline (unless they are sequels or prequesl to the ones in that series, such as Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13-2, and Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns.) It might help a bit to know the lore of the repeating characters in the game (summons and their elements, etc). If you want to see what the games are like, I would suggest any games from FF4 to FF10, although the combat system in FF15 is different from all of them.

Thanks LT for the info!! Nice to know that they are standalone games rather than continuations…..I was beginning to think I'd be spending hours trying to catch up before FF XV.
So just to get to know the lore and characters better....which ones would you recommend playing? Cos I'm much more interested in the stories and characters when I play a game....not so much the combat and stuff.....the story is what keeps me interested at the end of the day....it would be nice to know which ones I should focus on more...and which ones I could possibly skip and not need to play....saves me a lot of time that way....LOLOR
If you don't mind.....or any other members who is willing to share as well....rank the FF games from your personal faves to your least fave! It may help me figure out which games I should be playing too.....plus it will be nice to know what the fans are thinking too...since I have decided to go into this completely blind~~ :cool2:

From what i have seen and played, the world/style looks just perfect for my tastes, haven't been this excited for a videogame for a long time.

I am not going to publicly rank my favorite FF games because fanboys and girls get butthurt if the list does not match their list. All in all, I would suggest any from 4 to 10. FF4 to FF6 can be played on Gameboy emulators (and also you can buy them on mobile on both Android and iOS). FF7 to FF10 are available on Steam. Regardless of which one you play, these ones will have an awesome story behind them. The only major difference, other than the stories, is the character customization. You'll see what I mean once you start playing them ^^
