I AM NOT A FLAVOR.

If there's one thing that bothers me as a Black man, it's when people tell me how "into" Black men they are. Is that supposed to impress or entice me somehow? Quite the opposite. You've reduced my ethnicity to a fetish. Why would I feel good about that? I usually hear things like:
- I just love the contrast!
- I've never been with one before, and I wanna try it!
- You know what they say about Black guys!
- It's so exotic!
And the absolute worst thing I usually hear:
- I like chocolate!
I'm not a food or a flavor! I'm a person who happens to be Black. I'm not going to help you fulfill your Nubian/Mandingo fantasy. Furthermore, I'm about as exotic as crab grass. Stop saying this crap!

Thanks for your insight.
Yeah, that's degrading without question.
So what do you do? Do you ignore it or do you give an sarcastical answer? Answering at all could kill the mood (if that didn't happen anyway…).
-
well, they reduced your gender to a fetish. they like you in the first place because you're a man. does that degrade you too?
sexual attraction is discriminating. some like it thin, some like it thick, and some don't like thin or thick. political correctness as rational and sex as irrational don't go together. get over it. -

To talk to someone in that way because of their race is assuming and believing stereotypes that are not true and projecting your fantasy onto someone else.

typical pc square.
some will like you for your body, some for your personality, some for both, and some will like neither.
and if they like your body, they will like it for your shapes, sizes and COLORS. yes, that too.and you think you can go around policing people for what they are allowed to like about you?
omg, he objectified me cause he likes my body, call the pc police now!!!!!!!1111 says a person moralizing about porn stereotypes - has an account on a porn site - consumes porn. precious.all that feminist mumbo jumbo from the 50's is just puritanism 2.0.
let's ban sex, it's public enemy #1.
i thought gays at lest should be more out of the box and be able to deconstruct decades old puritan myths.Um…what?
ah. the sound of being left without arguments.

and if they like your body, they will like it for your shapes, sizes and COLORS. yes, that too. It's not a matter of "pc", it's a matter of courtesy.
I agree that some people find you attractive for your skincolour, haircolour etc. pp. That's normal and there is nothing bad about it, I totally agree.
But even in times long before pc you put that into a compliment or you kept that for yourself. Compliments are personal and specific, racist comments are not.
It's a difference if you say "I like your hair" or "I have never had sex with a blonde swimmer type and have always wanted to try it". Or "you have beautiful soft skin" opposed to "I like sex with twinks because their skin is so smooth".

So it all boils down to using euphemisms? U like him for his blonde hair, but you can't say it openly?
I agree about the courtesy, especially if people are not close, these are just social norms, but if ur having sex with someone, that's another level of intimacy that can call for suspension of public speak.
As i said, sexual attraction is irrational and discriminating. I see it going the path of puritanism nowadays in a pc culture by trying to censor it.

If I make someone a compliment it's normally quite open.
And I think that normal social rules still apply if you have sex with someone, esp. someone you don't know. You can always ruin the mood you know and the "one night stand" is over before it's begun. So in case of doubt leave out.
Sometimes - out of the sexual box - people don't think about what they say. Like women who come to you and say "Gay men are always so understanding". It just makes me roll my eyes. "You are a very understanding person" doesn't.
As for blacks: if I see sites like "blacks on boys" there is obviously rascism in gay porn.
Plus: what PetShopBoys describes seems to be a general bad attitude and not something that individuals say once or twice. -
ah. the sound of being left without arguments.
No, honey bunch. That was the sound of being left without brain cells after reading that inane ramble you posted. You clearly don't know the difference between attraction and fetishizing.

doesn't bother me. theres plenty more people who are going to tell you that they AREN'T into black men. so if someone is that's a plus.
