“Younger” star Nico Tortorella reveals he's "sexually fluid"
-
Nico Tortorella, a 27-year-old actor and model currently in a relationship with a woman, has opened up about his sexuality in a Page Six interview at an American Express LGBT Pride event.
“It's just a fluidity…. We're all kind of moving into this one situation,” said Tortorella, who plays Sutton Foster's hunky love interest on “Younger." Still, he stopped short of calling his remarks a “coming out” in the traditional sense.
“I think it's one thing to hide... and it's one thing to come out of the closet in a public statement. But I've always done me and never been shy.”
Earlier this month, Tortorella said he likes to think of himself as “label-less.”
“I don't see the world as gender binary -- man, woman. There's a whole spectrum of people that fit into all of it, and I've dated all of them, a lot of them,” he said. “It's not about sex for me. It's about being totally emotionally connected to somebody."
The actor, who said he is developing a TV show focused on gender and sexuality, went on to note that he has "the ability to fall in love with totally different types of people,” regardless of their gender.
“I don't focus on what you have between your legs, because whatever you've got, I'm gonna make it work," he said.

Being bi not only doubles your chances of a date on Saturday night, as Woody Allen said, it makes it easier and more fun to sleep your way to the top AND makes it less credible that you are only pandering to your gay fans by encouraging them to revel in your splendid abs a la Nick Jonas.
Note that the original story says he "plays Sutton Foster's hunky love interest" on a previously unknown TV show now in its Fourth season. Four seasons! Who knew? Answer: Probably everyone who knows who the hell Sutton Foster is, and they all know that Foster is (surprise!) female. This is USAnian telly after all, but if Nico had been playing off an equally buff male costar, the show could have broken new ground by avoiding all gay cliches and just being a standard heart-warming romcom about two people who are NOT of opposite genders. Very metrosexual.
Note that such a twist is far more likely if the leads are both female, with one or both in the closet so that hilarity inevitably ensues from the miscommunication and pretence– just like every episode of "I Love Lucy," but with sexual themes. Now that we know a gay kiss can launch mass murder, at least we can be assured that in The Land of the Free, all profanity will be bleeped, and sex will never be more specific in word or deed than on any episode of "Friends."
Interestingly, the show is about a woman in her 40s who declares herself to be 26 in order to find a job. Thus, Foster, who is actually 41 years old, is playing against an actor who really is 14 years younger. Whether age issues are intrinsic to their likely love/sex lives, I do like the idea that the significant age discrepancy, however disguised, is acceptable to viewers because-- Now-- the network audience presumably has no problem with a middle-aged single mom sleeping with a boy toy-- or with an urban stud sexually involved (at least with a MILF).
Have not seen the show, but am, intrigued to find out what happens when the inked wunderkind finds out his lover's true age. Also, someone else will have to reveal whether an inter-office romance is ever an issue, though some plotlines in the first season suggest that sex and professionalism might sometimes provide a conflict.
Curiously, some comments at the link fixate on the term "fluid" as, apparently, hipster-speak for "bi." Actors unashamedly coming out as strictly strait is a Good Thing, isn't it?
Also, he says that "whatever you've got" between your legs, "I'm gonna make it work." That's the spirit! Spread the word!
FOOTNOTE: The images attached vary in the amount of tattooed skin shown, so some of it may be real and added over time, other ink may just be courtesy of makeup artists. Far as I can tell, someone finds this man's pits a major source of eye candy, but there is pretty much nothing I could find that shows a vpl or detailed bulge revelation. But, hey, this is a game everyone can get in on, and perhaps friendly folk will provided additional visuals. And some of his images do continue the admirable trend of at least teasing some amount of unshaved pubes.
