Envious uploaders reporting copyright violations against popular uploads
-
I mean, seriously, practically every upload to this site, that's from a studio, is in violation. I'm pretty sure, there aren't too many uploaders, who have actually obtained permission from a given studio to upload their stuff.
Well, that's my rant. So, to the jealous "hater" that violated my torrent, which had been number one in the top 30 for the last few weeks…good for you...dickhead. I've still got 3 in the top 5, and between 7-8 total in the top 30...yeah, my shit was popular, but I'm pretty much through...too many jealous, petty little cunts for me. I know this probably won't stay posted for long, but it still felt good to vent. Thanks to all the thousands of members who did download my stuff. -
I have heard a variant of this argument before and didn't understand the logic.
Why would someone on the site report your uploads?
-
It's hard to immagine something more hypocrite then a user of a torrent site reporting copyright violation…
Fuck anyone who does that! This is a pirate haven, mate! AHOY! -
Re.: Reply #1 from cannonmc
(Sorry…this does go on, and ended up longer than expected. I guess I'm still venting.)
My questions are...
1. Why would a rep. contact this site to report only one video upload in violation, when there are many more offerings of that company's copyrighted material, throughout the site? Why not yank them all?
2. How would a rep. find this item, which has been renamed and given a title that is non-existent in their inventory? What brought this item to the rep.'s attention, to begin with?
Personally, I took some kind of pride in knowing I was uploading something that was put together nicely, and more importantly, an offering I felt members would like.
In the past, I was always just a downloader at websites (including this one when I first started checking it out). This is the first site I've ever uploaded to. I still find it kind of hard to believe, the number of uploads I've generated, in a little over a year's time, since becoming a member.
Well, there was a satisfaction I got with that first upload, knowing that folks around the world had an interest in something I posted. From that, came the desire to upload offerings in various categories, which I thought members would like.
Then I noticed the 30 "most popular" list, and making the list became my goal; and within a month, or so, I did. Up until today, I had 7-8 regularly on the list at the same time (even as many as 9), with 6 in the top 15, of which 4 are in the top 10, of which 2-3 were in the top 5, and 1, had been at number 1 almost continuously for over a month, until it suddenly got violated today...after having been snatched over 3000 times, it still had about 300 seeders, and 40 leechers; and it had only been up for 5-6 weeks! I couldn't see a slow down coming for that torrent for quite a while.
Yeah, it's an ego thing, but I did feel some pride knowing that such a high percentage of the most popular items, were things I uploaded.
Now, assuming this site represents a microcosm of the world as a whole; just as the world has people good and bad, selfish and generous, cheaters, and those who play fair, etc., the same can be said about the members of this site.
Which brings me to my point...you get someone who also takes pride in his uploads, and their popularity; and that’s how it should be. I mean, one would hope that nobody just uploads material, without any concern regarding content or quality. Anyway, this particular individual's competitive nature, comes with a "win at any cost" attitude...
There, with a torrent that's been at the top of the list for quite some time--he's pumped!
Suddenly, he's number 2, looking at a new number 1. His item is struggling to maintain leechers, and his snatch total is getting stagnate, while the figures of the new number 1 keep growing.
Instead of looking towards finding a "killer" upload to reclaim the top spot, he sulks and fumes as the gap between 1 and 2 widens; and being a "dirty player," looks for ways to just eliminate the competition.
If you don't think a member would be so "cut-throat" or petty, I would have to disagree...
Case, in point...I uploaded an offering that I found out to be, just the first 10 minutes of a 20+ minute video. The upload was really moving, and receiving positive feedback, so I edited the description, noting I would upload the second part, once I could find it.
Before I knew it, there was a comment on my upload, referring to a new upload of the complete video, which I assumed, was provided by the comment’s author.
The “ticky-tack” attitude welled-up in me, as I thought about all the interest in my torrent, being nullified and directed towards the new offering, via a comment on my upload.
His torrent took off, and there was nothing I could do to make mine, a more viable option. So, with a childish attitude, I deleted my torrent, to keep from facilitating the “rise” of his.
Next thing I know, he has renamed his torrent, giving it the title that I had come up with for my, now deleted, torrent. Wow…I didn’t see that one coming!
Even though he did nothing wrong and just took advantage of a situation made available, and beneficial to him, my immaturity didn’t allow me to see it that way. Whether or not, he was being “cut-throat,” I’m pretty sure, I was being “petty.”
So, it’s not hard for me to imagine, someone being even more so, than I had been.

well I did report copyright infringement but not to the admin of this site but to my friend producer as I did porn, my ex boy friend did porn as well (who's now my best friend) and he's on some torrent here as well. I'm quite not happy to see his/my work here for free so I reported to the production we worked for.( why? our " porn carriers" are over now but still the producer is a nice guy so I wish him to get money for his work and to be able to pay others models ( which he pays like a lot!) ) Now it seems he doesnt give a shit as his company didnt bother to contact this site to have them removed. I'm not paid on how many dvd are sold so I dont care anymore.(yeah you might think what? he doesnt like his films to be available for free to others yet he downloads for free others work..yeah I know… i know I'm bad.. ) Remember people who are actually working or worked for the porn industry are also among the users..that might explain some of these reports.. some "actors" also would like to be forgotten..

Re.: gaypraha2…
That's cool, and I totally understand that, and where you're coming from.
Ironically, I feel the same way...In doing my "witch hunt," looking into the background of some of my possible suspect uploads, I did find one, high on the 30 "most popular" list, that originates from an amateur's upload to another site, where he's trying to earn a little money from it; and I did feel for that guy, knowing his video has been downloaded thousands of times, and it's highly unlikely he got any bucks for it.
So, I do understand…and "right on" for you, "lookin' out" for a friend!

Ellis, you ask questions here that I have brought up elsewhere. Like the excellent one about inconsistent deletions.
I asked that after having three uploads deleted in a row when there were dozens from the same studio still on here.
And it's not hard with some torrents for dedicated porn hobbyists to discover the real name, studio and actors
As for an uploading contest. I honestly don't give a stuff. I gave up posting torrents here (except in special circumstances) a while ago. I wasn't trying to be popular but a nod to my efforts would have been nice - not seed points but maybe a thanks.
And I doubt I have deprived anyone of any money - if these things hadn't been available via usenet or torrents, I wouldn't have gone out and bought them.
