Seeding problem
-
Hi there, I have just created a torrent for a new upload. It says I should download it first and click on it so that it goes into my peer-to-peer program (which is BitTorrent 6.3). But it just doesn't move.
Last time it did the trick when i clicked on the file, went to advanced/set download location and then I could locate the file and just upload it. Unfortunaely, now that "set download location" button is frozen Help anyone? -
That button is active only on torrents which are STOPPED. So stop it.

Ok, done. Is there anything else I should do, I stopped other downloads/uploads.

Did you do the "Advanced" > "Set Download Loacation…" > navigate to the file > "Save"?
Then do a "Force Re-check" and if 100% status "Finished", re-start it -
oh, i though you meant another kind of seeding… my bad.

@Uwe:
Did you do the "Advanced" > "Set Download Loacation…" > navigate to the file > "Save"?
Then do a "Force Re-check" and if 100% status "Finished", re-start itJust checking, how do I know that the torrent is seeding and that people can see it. last time it failed, is now everything ok?

It looks like the torrent is still not seeding.
You need to stop it in your BitTorrent, then right click -> under 'Advanced' choose "Set download location" -> browse to where the actual video is and save -> again right click and choose "Force Re-check". The torrent will do a data check to 100% and then the torrent will seed.
You can check if the torrent is seeding from your profile page (click your name at the top left of the page and then scroll down to find your active torrent, downloaded torrents and uploaded torrents).
