Never Come Out to Family?
-
Living in a modern western society, it's become much easier to come out to the peers around you who are mostly accepting of each other. But also being part of an eastern family where traditional values still strongly hold, it's much harder to come out to the people that should know you the best, but you can't help but keep this secret from them. My question is, have any of you kept your sexuality a secret even now with your family, even though you yourself have completely accepted?

Yes. My parents are Indian and conservative. I just know they would never understand.

Same here. My entire family is… disgusted with this kind of people. They probably would disown me if they know I like men...

My parents preaches anti-LGBT every time they see something on TV. So I know for a fact that they'd rather kick me out than keep me around if I ever came out. I'd let them, but only when I was ready to stand on my own.

I guess that almost everyone fears coming out in such family situations..
