The Shannara Chronicles starts tomorrow but already has 3 strikes against it: it's airing on MTV, Jon Favreau is listed as an executive producer & the obvious "look we're just like that HBO game show where the throne is tossed about".
3 strikes why bother but then the umpire pulls me over, shows me these pics and mentions Manu Bennett is a lead and looks like I have more television to absorb.

Yes, MTV has always been an obnoxious channel, but they also air Teen Wolf, which is quite possibly the gayest show on American television that is not squarely themed around gay characters, so I feel like they have one Get Out of Jail Free Card just for that. For those of you who have never seen the intensely homoerotic Teen Wolf series, it's basically like a fashion show for hot, ripped 20 something guys to be constantly taking off their shirts and showing the camera their sexy bodies. Well, all except for Styles, who I suppose fulfills the "love me for my mind and cuteness" role.
