After the recent lawsuits I stopped using popcorn time but I was wondering if anyone knew an alternative

I never used popcorn time but do use Showbox which isn't to say I endorse it but it is an alternative.

I would be inclined to recommend the Kodi app… It's the app that Android TV uses. From my experience, with the right add-ons, you name the content and it's there. You will never have to pay for cable tv ever again with the Kodi app.... You can get it at through the following link:

          http://kodi.tv/download/
***** Note: If you're using Ubuntu, you can also get this app by doing the following:

          sudo apt-add-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
          sudo apt-get update
          sudo apt-get install kodi

Once installed, you will want to add the Genesis add-on, as it seems to be the most popular add-on for watching just about everything. You can find instructions on how to install the Genesis add-on at https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-manually-install-gotv-for-xbmc/
