Best time to water plants?
-
I usually do it at night because I heard if you do it during the day you burn the plants

Hello, depends on the plant, it's best to water in the sunset, because the water will stay there all through the night, helping the plant feed until 11pm in a sunny day of summer.
Grass however can be watered at midday and will actually grow better like that.
The thing is, if you are adding water to a plant when the soil is too warm, what happens is; either you burn the roots and kill it, either the water just evaporates fast and does not feed much.

If you watering plants at the day, you must not use cold water, it may cause stress on plants.

If you water in the evening, some plants can develop fungus or mildew due to poor circulation and prolonged moisture exposure. Early early morning seems to work well for me allowing water to evaporate off leaves before the sun gets too hot which could burn the leaves.
