Dear members,
I kept my profile settings to Normal before my first download here. I want to know that if from my profile, it is possible for other users to see my IP address or email address, specially spying users? Does my torrent download history also shows up in my profile and visible to other users? If with all default profile settings here, I am using VPN, is it safe enough?

You can access neither to the profiles settings, nor to the torrent history of another member. -
Lagantiere is absolutely right. If you click on someone's username, say his or mine you will see what information is public.
For instance I can see you haven't uploaded anything and you need to improve your ratio. But I can't see what you have downloaded.
It's worth checking your own details to see how your ratio is doing

What information users can see about you is dependent entirely on your profile settings. That being said however, the only people who are EVER able to see your torrent history, IP address, email address, etc are certain site staff. Not all staff have access to the same parts of the system as others. This is largely in part to help keep your information private. An ordinary user will NEVER be able to see your IP address or email address. As far as I am aware, a regular user cannot view the torrent history of another user. If you set your profile settings to "Strong", you can be sure that only staff will ever be able to see who you are (other than in the forum).

On the other hand if you set your settings to 'strong' members won't be able to send you messages if you need help with your ratio, say, or posting a torrent for the first time :

Ah yes… This is also true. While they may not be able to message you directly, site staff will still be able to message you directly, and you will still be able to get assistance through the forum.
