For a country that doesn't officially celebrate Christmas, they have produced some great Christmas songs. Here is a selection of the Japanese genre of City Pop:

Is this the most well-known Christmas song I've posted this year? (I genuinely don't know how well these songs are known outside the UK)

@BummerBoy Hollis refers a neighborhood in the borough of Queens, NYC.
Run has 5 songs on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 22 songs in R&B / Hip-Hop. Their first gold record was in 1984.
They and their songs are known.

Yikes! Did you think I didn't know who Run DMC were, Flozen? One of the most successful hip hop groups ever! I was actually asking if the other Christmas / Holiday songs that I posted recently were widely known because, although some of them are from very famous artistes I don't tend to hear the songs I posted much (in some cases not at all) in the UK apart from when I play them myself. I realise that my question was poorly worded though so I apologise for the confusion and I am very grateful that you took the time to reply when so few do! Have a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or whatever you celebrate!

I hope that all the ancient Romans reading this enjoy a Splendid and Truly Debauched Saturnalia! (although this piece is perhaps a bit too classical to properly represent the debauchery aspect of the pagan festival on which Christmas is partially based)

@BummerBoy Yes, I took a different meaning from your post, and yes, I thought it odd you (obvious music lover) wouldn't know their history and impact..
But as you do know them, all is well, and meanwhile, Mariah is #1 again with her bippity boppity All I Want. She is followed by Brenda Lee's
Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree -- Ms. Lee turned 78 this month and her rockabilly-infused song has come close, but never topped the chart.

.Wow, Flozen! I'm surprised that Mariah is number 1 again (I'm guessing you mean in America). I mean I understand she has many, many fans and I understand that that song is also very popular, but I thought that people would get a tiny bit tired of hearing it so many times even if they absolutely love it. Obviously not! Hopefully Brenda Lee will top the charts before the end of the year!

I hear there are people here who like dandies. I also hear that some of you like dongs. Well, I got you covered! In fact I'll even throw in a ding (whispers: what is a 'ding' anyway?):
