NEW feature: seed bonus gift!!!

Just noticed the new feature you put on the site. Its quite an original idea I must say. I like the ability of swapping seed bonus between members. This enables us to give and receive tokens of appreciation and can encourage uploading
- Is this feature a trial or permanent?
- Is is available to all classes/types of members?

To increase our uploads is the basic idea - together with the often told wish to award uploaders for their uploads - this is one way
To your questions:

we intend this to be a permanent feature. But there may be (like in all programming) some flaws - so please tell us about any problems.

yes from the giving side as well as from the recieving side.
As you correctly said: have a look at your seed bonus - you need some to spend therm here

 This is exactly the reason LBC likes it here at GT.ru; you guys are always working to make this a better site and encouraging UL's this way is fantastic!!! We are certainly at a point with our ratio that to give a bonus for an Up Load that we particularly like is perfect for us!!!! Â :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

i think this idea is much more smart than doing just a "double upload credits" for the uploader..
let the users decide, if it is a very good torrent or not..
maybe we add this accumulated value to our "most wanted torrents" calculation on start page, because this value will show even more how appreciated a torrent is, than only taking seeders/leechers/snatched into account….

another thing to mention: you can now say thank you several times to give more than 50 points if you wish. The 2nd and all following "thank you" must be given with bonus points.

It's a good way to use your points if you aren't planning to exchange them for upload yourself.

I really like this. My ratio is over 2 so now I have something useful to do with my seed bonus. I can encourage uploads of the kinds of stuff that I like.

Very impressive guys. ;D Whoever came up with that idea, good idea. I've read this idea somewhere a long time ago. I think members have always wanted someway to give each others' credits. Also the power user for DVD-R is a excellent idea too.
Thanks for making all those ideas integrate into the software. I'm sure that was the hardest part and I'm guessing there are a few here doing the programming, not just one person.

But there are others, like ganatu and myself, who have big seed bonus numbers and no need to use them for ratio. I will definitely be thanking people with points.

I saw that the gifted points are shown now with the other info on the "Browse" page, which is GREAT! very useful in deciding what's worth looking at further.

Maybe there should be a policy against begging for seed-points in a torrent description. I would rather not know if the uploader is needy until after I view the file. It could color how I feel about giving, make me feel resentful instead of generous. Better to have a forum section where people could post threads saying " I need points, and here are some torrents I uploaded where you can contribute." Same forum could have upload requests, where users with points to burn could actively encourage certain types of uploads they want by stating a willingness to gift points.

or just trade them for an invite and send those invites to others?~rR

You can't trade them, but it is possible to give them away as thank you for an uploader of a torrent.
Look to the new box behind the "Thank you" button where you can choose how many points you like to gift.
If you like to give more than 50, just say Thank You more than one times. -

However a question. As i primarily upload here i don't really need to receive additional seed bonus points, although of course i appreciate them. Now is it possible to "re-distribute" them also without downloading a torrent? For example if a torrent is uploaded which i already have however i like the video and wish to encourage seeding such material (shemale..!) or i simply like the uploader if i know him personally, can i say "Thank you" and give points without having to download the torrent in question?

Yes, of course. You can say "Thank you" and give points away to any torrent listed.

But there is another new feature with saying "Thank you" for an upload: Up to now you could only say "Thank you" once, a second thank you was ignored. Now you can say thank you more than once (But the 2nd, 3rd, … time only with seed bonus points (inteded to give more than the max 50 points). This way it is also possible to give a number of points which is not noted in the dropdown box like 100  (2 times 50) or 73 (50, 20, 3 or ...) or give additional bonus points after you watched the video. You will not occur in the thank you list several times but only your given bonus points willI be added to your earlier given "Thank you". This way you can also add additional bonus points to older uploads where you already said Thank you before. I don't know if it is really necessary - but the feature is implemented as well - so you can also use it

As i got a bunch of points and don't really need to convert them into gigabytes, i believe i could not even get below my minimum ratio with pure downloading, it would take me a year at least with zero upload and full-speed download I rather keep uploading, it really feels good to have a three-digit ratio.Kind regards…...
