Would You Tolarate More?
-
I know in the ideal world, we are all precious and we have to value ourselves more. But in real life we often encounter people who have just have that kind of thing that we couldn't resist and therefore we tolerate their shortcomings more than we usually would, if he were another person.
So let me give my example:
Earlier today I met a guy at a store and for me he was like the most handsome human being I have seen personally. Not too tall, but the features he has that got to me is that he is well groomed and he has beards. I know it might sound weird but as someone of an Asian descent, it's really hard to grow beard. And I love 'em.Fast forward, we chatted and I found him to be less intelligent than I am (I consider myself pretty smart and expect my partner could step up to my wit most of the time), and we don't really share much hobbies in common. But I am willing to stay and learn more about him than I normally would in this random hookup scenario. I am willing to put more effort so I would be able with this man.
Normally if he's average or I am not really interested with, I would just endure the date and never call back, but it's not the case with him. I assure you it's not "love at first sight" but maybe more to do with infatuation because he posses the traits I am attracted with.
So do you guys have this weakness, this Achilles' heel too? Share!Â

No, because I would get frustrated eventually by a less smart partner/ lover.

I think that sounds harmless that your drawn to someone you find very attractive but not so intelligent… If you started to tolerate that a guy hurt you in any way and did let him get excuses cause he was good looking, that would be a problem. But as long as he is kind to you I wouldn't make any fuss about it.

I don't know about you, but I always like to be with people I admire for some reason.
If he's not bright enough, then it should be the way he treats you, or if he has goals in life, etc.
Beauty may be the main door to get interest in someone, but it's a bummer to open the door and find only a empty room.
I think you should try another date. Sometimes we underestimate people, sometimes they're exactly what they seem.
There's only one way to find out! -
I always try to keep an open mind… There's no harm in getting to know him better and seeing if it goes anywhere, right?
