Not impressed with the new layout. Takes forever to load with all those pics.

I agree, Speedmaster but I just thought that was a 'work in progress' or someone had added too many line break codes. It surely can't be on purpose as it takes too much useful space

It is not done on purpose. We collect already glitches appearing with the site update. Currently functional issues have priority, before layout issues can be addressed, but my guess is if the code of a page is touched for functional issues and such layout issues are obvious to fix, they'll be fixed in one rush.
Personally my concerns are focused on the Search, which behaves differently and we need to come up with a kind of Guide to explain its powerful options. I got that conditioned to the old search engine, that I've difficulties to get used and develop a good practice on the new engine.

In view of the privacy in other parts of the site is it a good idea to show who we have invited on our profiles - the invitee might want to be anonymous but without being asked his name appears on my profile

Hi, I am hating the new look sorry.
I love the site but certain things about it are really annoying, so I am just giving you my personal feedback of what I DO NOT like about the site. Some of my comments are about changes and some are addressing things that haven't changed. My comments are not meant to be taken as slating the site but me as an end users telling you what I don't like cos if we don't tell you how else are you going to know.
You click on browse link and get the search page. But you click on search and get the browse page. No images shown by default on the details page unless you click on 'show all pics', this requires an unnecessary additional click to see images of the file you have selected to see more details about. As most people will want to see an image of what it is they are going to download before clicking on download this makes no sense as everyone now just has additional clicks. If some people say they don't want to see images on detail page, then save their choice in a cookie so once it's selected, it's set for all pages. Also opening up a new window when you want to see larger version of image is not great but what really makes it frustrating is when you click on another image to enlarge it, the popup window loses focus and vanishes behind the main window so you then have to go on a search for it, slowing down browsing and being cumbersome, surely these could appear in a modal or overlayed div.
The category trigger on search does nothing and the search itself does nothing, whatever you type in comes back with 'No results found'.
The modals on hover on the results page often load content off screen and you can't scroll to see it because as soon as you hover off it's gone.
The forum itself seems have have grown in width, taking up almost 100% the width of the page, I wouldn't have thought this would be an issue at all but it just looks wrong to me without wider left and right margins' the left hand side is butted right up against the side of my monitor.
Also the site seems to have slowed down somewhat but not sure if that is down to the site or my connection to it

i agree with this. the enlarged images play the biggest role in deciding whether or not i download a torrent. previously we could enlarge with a single click and scroll through each. the autoplay was a huge plus. now i have to click show all pics, and because i have popup blocker, i have to ctrl+alt+click every single pic to enlarge. :cry2:

I think the pictures not displaying the way you prefer them on the torrent information page is something that you can revert back to the old method yourself.
Go to your Profile Settings and uncheck the "Pics 2.0" box. That will make all the images come up all at once on the torrent information page.
If you prefer the method with the auto play, then make sure that "Pics 2.0" is turned on.
As well, you may want to make sure that the radio button just above that is set to "Pics appear over mouse position" is set. I think this will render you something closer to what you prefer.

Some buttons and boundaries ( tracker - message - system ) are now bigger, than sometimes thumbnail pictures in some torrent preview sets. So we will never have to wear glasses again, when viewing a tracker message… Thaaaank youuuu ^^
