Who still play pokemon here?
-
I mostly play on Showdown now. I ladder in Doubles and OU.
-
Well after getting every pokemon, even the legendary ones Oo, and making a really strong team, I stopped playing. But I will play again when pokemon Alpha Sapphire is released, hehe.
-
I pick up when there's a new one out but I'm not all that interested in ORAS.
-
I still do. Used to play on showdown but currently out of competitive play until ORAS.
The new megas and tutors look extremely exciting. -
I still play, it's good fun
-
I play. Got a 3ds just to play Pokemon x.
-
I do!
There's just something addictive about getting that perfect I.V. pokemon you wanted ;D -
Only XY.
I wanted to play ORAS, but waiting the used ones to get lower price.
I am not eager to give Gamefreak more money for recycling old stuff -
I still play pokémon. And I watch the anime series too! The last one was ORAS on my 3DS and it has a great storyline, even the postgame with the Delta Episode was so much fun and well written. There's no shame in playing Pokémon.
-
I do, but I think Gen VI is the last I'll play. The games need a major restructuring, they're becoming very boring and repetitive for me in their current state.
-
big fan here from yellow all the way to oras.
-
Spent an hour last month online playing it but the game wouldn't save. Is there somewhere else online that it can be played?
-
On the 3ds is the only way to go.
I generally only play every second or third original pokemon game.
I'm really against the remakes of pokemon (not that they aren't great) but I like my childhood memories to be kept exactly as they were. -
Filled my Pokedex. Arranged them all in the PC so I know I have one of each to transfer to next game. Slaughtered the Battle Maison. My friends stand no chance of winning so they don't play with me unless I play with a handicap. Online competitions aren't arranged so I can enjoy them, and a paycheck, and an attempt to evolve from bear to otter…
-
I still do, and I'll never quit, I know that, basically, is always the same game, but I want to fill my pokedex, all of them
-
The only Pokemon game I've ever played was Emerald on the GBA. It was pretty good. Are the games still like this gameplay-wise or have they changed a lot?

gameplay-wise it's pretty much the same. but there have been many changes too (e.g. mega-pokemons, ev training is so much easier, etc)

If you look at the main story, and the main game, it is almost exactly the same. Although they eventually introduced wifi (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum–the next series from what you played) and now there's a broad competitive field that is almost completely different except in concept. Some people think that the competitive feature kills the game because there's such a wide variety of variables that some see it like work and unless you have a thing for legendaries or pseudolegendaries you probably won't get to use your favorites, but some think it gives more value in that it adds a strategy aspect and offers bragging rights.

I don't have any cards nor play with anyone else's, but I do play the Pokemon games on Gameboy emulator on my PC, like the old Fire Red/Leaf Green or Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire series or the Gold/Silver ones.
