Tracker status errors? & Requests
-
The problem I keep encountering is that when I reload Vuze the torrents I am seeding are fine, but after awhile I get tracker status messages stating either "Scrape not found…tracker has several requests" or "File not found". This happens for all 6 torrents I am trying to seed. If I close Vuze completely and then re-open, the seeding works fine for a short time but then stops and the above messages appear under tracker status. The one torrent that usually lasts the longest before going down is "My own Private Idaho".
This problem has occurred in the last 4-6 weeks. Up until then everything worked fairly well. I haven't done anything differently than I did before.I am also seeding for 2 other sites and have not encountered this problem. It only occurs for this site.
I'm also curious as to why I keep getting new messages requesting I seed or upload a torrent that I am already seeding?
I have had several new messages for torrents that I have been seeding for several weeks.
Incidentally, I wish to apologize to anyone that I forgot to thank. I have appreciated all the time and energy expended by those who have uploaded and seeded torrents. I've tried to do my part but the above problem has prevented me from accomplishing that goal.
Thanks. later.................................John

hey, i use vuze as well, and i used to have a problem when i am trying to upload and download a lot of torrents at the same time. it gives me an error saying something like, can't scrape file not found, or connection error or some sort..
so i was playing with the settings, and i turned off the scrape function, and increased the connection timeout for the tracker to about 7 mins.. then i don't have any more problems.. i don't know how to fix your problem, but this is how i got lucky with mine..

Thank you Whits, for the advice. I haven't had much time to play around and the only place I found was under tracker, client; to disable the scrapes. I tried that but all I got was a new tracker message saying "scrape disabled". and I don't know where to look for changing the time. If you get a chance could you tel me where I can locate the items you tried? The reason I don't have a lot of time right now to hunt and search is because I'm trying to get ready to take a vacation and will be leaving this Saturday for 3 weeks.
Any other help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

well have a good holiday
if you go to options,>tracker>client, near the bottom, there should be the "connect timeout" it is displayed in seconds, so you can change it to maybe five minutes or so..
http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=5495.0 for the scrape problem..
http://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=4578.0 for the time-out section..
and i have tried the time-out fix, not sure if it works, but its worth a try..Whitney

"scrape disabled" is OK, this setting is really disabled in default on this tracker. hopefully it will be enabled one day

Thanks for the information folks. I appreciate the help.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner but I was having too much fun in Las Vegas and just got back this weekend. I did try to log on Saturday but couldn't get on the forum. This has happened a few times.
Now back to reality.
Thanks again.
