Name Your Favourite Gay Movie/Series That You Want To Remake Or Reboot.
-
Remakes or reboots as they prefer to call them these days have grown to be a pattern in Holywood these days.
So, a whacky idea passed through my mind.
Which gay movie or a gay franchise would you want to receive the remake/reboot treatment?
You can also mention tv series a well!My picks are the following:
Eating Out, The Lair and Dante's Cove. -
Series : Murder she wrote (tho i think this is actually being remade)
Movie: Jumping Jack Flash (would love tho see this story adapted to this day)
-
Hmm…
At the moment I'm thinking about Maurice (1987). Its an awesome movie and great adaptation. I hope it could be remade to modern shoot and of course new talented actors.

And the Band Played On
Making Love -
Agreed with Making Love.
-
The Boys In The Band
It's high time to zhuzh up this classic (I said classic!).
-
I miss Dante's Cove
-
Me too. And if i am not mistaken, it was left unfinished.
-
Nada!

I'd love to see Noah's Arc again. It was one of the highest rated shows on LOGO, and for some idiotic reason, they pulled the plug on the show after season 2. The movie kinda made up for that, but I feel there was still more to explore, especially with the supporting characters.
A reboot of QAF (Queer as Folk) would be interesting. Even though the characters would be older (and hopefully wiser), I think it would be good to see the show in a more modern-day setting, tackling current issues, and displaying some diversity (for once) within the cast.

:true: 3rd season is somewhat hanging, some of the main characters are trapped in the mirror
And as for remake/reboot, none, but sort of a reunion special TV movie like the one they did with Looking
QAF USA - I like Michael (Hal Sparks) and Brian (Gale Harold) to end up as a couple.
QAF UK

maybe Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) more true to the origin play and not just letting the gay be subtext. The Full Monty (1997) would be cool too lol.
