Searching for General Torrents

I'm not convinced that I'm searching the best way for non-porn and non-gay (eg general TV show) torrents. At the moment I search solely using isohunt.
What sites and/or tools do others use to find torrents of general interest?

isohunt is a good start.
kickasstorrents and thepiratebay can show good results (but if you are in UK you may need to find proxies to reach them)
thebox.bz is very good for British TV (invite needed)
I often find that a search using my usual engine hxxp://search.carrot2.org adding 'torrent' to the subject can throw up stuff
And another 'sister' gay site has quite a collection of 'Other Torrents' and gay themed non-porn movies.
Ah and there's always requests

KAT always used to be my goto torrent site of choice for general material, but once it was banned in the UK, i got lazy and just started searching other places rather than look into how to access it despite it being blocked here.
Actually just before posting this message i accidentally stumbled upon an article about getting round the UK's ISP bans of piratebay and KAT, so I'll give both of these sites another goβ¦

Ironically they aren't actually banned in the UK, it's just the courts have served banning orders on the major ISPs. Smaller ISP are forgotten

We've got automatic redirection over a link anonymity service for the torrent descriptions (and it works for torrent comments and PMs, too), but not for the Forum. Therefore off site live links are not allowed in the forum.[/off-topic]

I didn't realise that smaller ISPs have not blocked access to these sites.
I think I will be okay for proxies, but will PM you and take you up on your offer if it appears that I have spoken too soonβ¦

Yes, we have, but there are always unforeseen higher priority issues to solve β¦ Β :crazy2: each time I look on a board usually not visited, I find live links not being disabled ...Β :afr:
