The Incredible Shrinking Last-Completed List
-
By my count, the Last 250 Completed Torrents list on my home profile page is short < 100 entries. Is this by design?
-
Yes, if you downloaded less than 100 torrents completely …
-
So then these torrents (all less-than-100 of them) should be, by design, present on the list?
-
Sorry, I am not sure to get your question, so let me explain how that list is built:
- It lists the torrents of which you* have completed** to download the files
- It lists up-to 250 downloads
- If you have completed more than 250, the more recent are shown
* = of the respective member looking in his Profile
** = as sent by the member's torrent client programme -
At least you seem to be able to access your list. I used to be able to and also able to view the torrents I am (a) seeding and (b) leeching., but when I tried today I could not access the information. Is it me or is there a general problem? If it is just me any idea what the problem might be?

Most of such problems result of the browser cache configurations. If you modify your settings to "0" for the automatic cache-management ( or de-activate this setting completly), you force the browser to load the content directly from the GTru - Server, without looking for some old content at your computer. In former times, this was a quite usefull option, to reduce the loading content, if there hasn't been any changes. But we mostly don't use any 56k-modems anymore and mostly have flatrates, where traffic isn't relevant.
If you still experience problems, try out another browser to make sure, that your browser isn't the reason - because I don't have any problems at all by listing the informations. -
This is what confused me, as my "Last-Completed" list only shows 31 torrents. At a sum total of 13 GB, it appears to be missing 192 GB (give or take the ones that, having been deleted from the tracker, would not be available anyhow for inclusion). As none of the 31 showing torrents antecede August of 2011, additional entries were probably lost during the recent interregnum of domain un-availability.
My guess for what happened is this: In the past, this "Last-Completed" list used to only track 50 torrents. At some point in time a change must have been made to increase this number to 250. When implemented, it did not affect torrents downloaded retro-actively and those torrents were forgotten by the system. So for example, if a member had downloaded 51 torrents on the day before the increase was implemented, their "Last-Completed" list the day after would still only show 50 torrents, as anything beyond that amount and prior to the change would have been wiped from the queue.
So I believe the mystery of the incredibly-shrinking list has been solved. :cool2: -
No, it isn't that. The data base contains all completed torrents of a member still listed on the site. Only the value of how many will be displayed in that list has been increased from 50 to 250. Mine was showing immediately more.
However, I've noticed some years back (2010?), when working to get the "lost torrents" from the spring 2009 server crash back, that from one day to another many torrent's completions lists (not visible any more to non-staff) became empty or very short. It looked for me as if some data base purging was done, but never got any confirmation from the Administrators.
