      Hey everyone,

I searched a little but didn`t find anything about that topic:
How safe is it to be here and down- and upload all this hot stuff?

I use Peerguardian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peerguardian) but can`t stop feeling a little afraid that one day the "porn-police" knocks on my door and throughs my little porncollection out of the window and me into prison!

      Seriously…any thoughts? Info?

      Cheer

It's never truly safe to do torrents anywhere unless everything is legit and multi confirmed as legit.  Even on legit sites, people still try to post illegal stuff as a way of entrapping others into illegal downloading.

Even innocent people and machines get accused of piracy.  There are plenty of articles of innocent people and machines {ie fax machines and printers} being sued for illegal downloading.

The best thing you can do is be as safe as possible.  It's sorta like "safer sex" for torrents.

With the exception of Titan Media, I haven't heard much about the porn industry getting involved in P2P.  Anyway, most of the legal troubles directed to people who do direct downloads, such as porn bloggers.

Any specific suggestions other than PG2? Anonymizer/proxy?

What about themed movies? (tla releasing, etc.)

Proxies aren't allowed here as was posted for quite some time on the front page.

You can specify which applications are to connect over proxies and which not. "Proxy-not-allowed" problem is related to your site account, not to your transfers. But, to be exact, we don't speak about "proxies" how most users may understand this term. There are specialized high-speed proxy services for this purpose, but all of them require a paid subscribtion. Common proxies free of charge may work, but their transfer speeds are extremely low. So far, PeerGuardian seems to be almost a sufficient solution against unwanted spies.

Piracy of Pornographic films is not something that is big on any countries Federal Police “target list”.  If they stumble across pirated items on your PC while they are already in possession of it, they will prosecute accordingly.
But the major things on their list when it comes to electronic breaches in the law – it’s things like Child Pornography, Monetary Fraud, Identity Theft, and so on that are in the red zone for them.
And with piracy in general; it is usually the film companies themself (eg. Columbia, TriStar, Universal …) who conduct the searches – enlisting the help of the Government Bodies when a sting is to take place.

So really, not too many Pornographic film studios have the money and/or resources like major Hollywood film companies to track you down and bust you.

But this is just a general rule – this doesn’t mean that they may not have some way of finding you and your details.

Remember the safest option is to purchase your films legitimately from a reseller/distributor.  But considering where we are – I am sure this bit of advice will go unheard.  Why buy when GayTorrents.ru has all your needs.  Lol.

                Alex
