      Hello guys,

I had a big open abdominal surgery in October. Now I feel OK but I still have pain but the surgeon said everything is fine.
Well, I need to wear a belly-belt and I must not make any movement that needs the abdominal muscle.
Any advice how I could keep fit? I still may not go swimming, I hate running, I love yoga which I am not able to do for at least 6 months in future.
Which sport should I do this winter, or any advice for exercises?

My biggest problem is that I really lost too much weight from my muscles, especially from my arms, shoulder, and my buttocks. It is hard for me to sit on a chair longer than 30 minutes because there is no flesh on my buttocks.

I'd do weighted exercises, on a machine, not free weights, that targets the other areas.

Stationary bikes, as long as you aren't swaying side to side as  you do it, and treadmills doing fast walking is good.

Thnaks for the advice. Now I do stepping exercises and walking up the stairs because my bottom is too flat and it is hard to sit (and my bottom looks like that of an old man)
I am not recommended to move my abdominal muscles as the doctor said unless I would like to come back to a hernia surgery.

"Keeping fit" includes allowing for your body tissues to heal properly, while over-exertion could jeopardize that. Put any exercise on the back burner for the next six months.
