With the new Rationator out is seems that people use their download and upload speed as crutch
for not uploading.Â
I am just wondering what users upload and download speeds are??Mine is
DL 2610 kbps

Is that kbits or kBytes?
I'm going to assume that's kBps, otherwise your speeds are worse than dial up, especially your up speed.

Right now my upload is only at 35kb/s because I have it not to go above 70kb/s. A few reasons for that … I don't want my ISP killing my internet because of massive upload and because I'm always on a wireless connection so I'm not sure but ya, that's what it's at!

When you guys do the speed test, make sure you have no programs running that are using the internet at the same time. If any programs are using the internet, you will not get a proper score.
There also seems to be some confusion over what kb and kB are.
Take my score as an example;
7,542 kbps or 736 kBps
and
723 kbps or 70 kBps
Divide kbps by 10.24 to get kBps
ISPs use kb because they are trying to trick you into thinking the numbers are better than they are.

Using speedtest.net, stopping all programs and pausing all torrents :
DL : 281.3 kBps
UL : 60.7 kBpsMy actual average speeds are
DL : 200-280 kBps approx, varying throughout the day
UL : 75-80 kBps approx steady throughout the day -

my ISP is on steroids then again I know people who have hit triple these numbers. I range from this to 24mb/down and 2mb up. -

Close anything down utilizing an internet connection, and perform the test again. You will get more accurate results.**
