President Trump Proposes Space Force (Again)

President Donald Trump used a term from US segregationist history to describe the relationship between the Air Force and his newest military branch, the Space Force, calling it "separate but equal."
"We must have American dominance in space. Very importantly, I'm hereby directing the Department of Defense and Pentagon to immediately begin the process necessary to establish the Space Force as the sixth branch of the armed forces. That's a big step," he said in the White House East Room during a meeting of his National Space Council Monday.

Why create a space force when there are other problems facing the country? Healthcare, Gun Violence, Education, etc. I think this is just to prop up the military industrial complex with more cash. I mean seriously, what threat does the U.S. face from space?

Extremely dishonest.
"Separate but equal" in this context is about this new "space force" not being a bitch service to another branch like with the Navy/Marine Corps and how the Air Force used to be the Army's sub-bitch.
It will have it's own Secretary of the Space Force, like every other branch has their own, except for the Marine Corps who falls under the Sec of the Navy.
You gotta love the way the left has a pathological need to demonize everything Trump does, even when there is no evil intent. "Oh my fucking gawd, he's drinking water, he's literally Satan!!!!!"

Honestly this is one of the few times that I agree with Trump. His EPA is doing everything possible to trash the environment. We are going to need a new planet some day with people like this running the world.
