I am comfortable with my body hair, but should I shave my back and shoulders?

Most of the time I don't mind the hair on my shoulders and back.
but sometimes I feel awkward taking off my shirt in front of people (beach, locker etc….)
more so when it's in front of people as plural

Well, first up, are you that hairy?
        Second, is it abundant?
Third, does that make you feel awkward most of the time?

are you that hairy? The definition of hairy depends more on where you live. I'm a middle eastern so I'm hairy but not hairy-hairy
is it abundant? Not so much
does that make you feel awkward most of the time? Awkward when in front of many people

Just do what makes you comfortable with yourself. If you like it who cares, hair is natural. If you're not in love with it, try without. It'll grow back

If you're in a relationship and it bothers your partner, you can experiment with shaving.

For random strangers, don't worry about it!  They've seen it before (especially if you are in the Middle East).
Also, I don't think most people care much, unless they are checking you out.  And if they are checking you out, there are plenty of us bear lovers who like to see that. ;D
