VOTE - U.S. Election Day Tue-2-Nov-2010
-
Hi family,
Just a reminder to my friends in the US to vote Tuesday.
Pennsylvania has a great website to help progressive voters at hxxp://paprogressivevotersguide.com/ – enter your zip for more local District information.
Love,

I have a "no vote, no bitching" policy.
If you don't vote(regardless of who you vote for) then you can't bitch about how rotten things are!
See you at the polls. ;D

While you bring up a valid point of no vote = no bitching, I generally have one policy when it comes to voting…
I refuse to vote on the ground that I refuse to vote for someone who is just going to corrupt the system even further. Historically speaking, this has happened each and every election with every elected official. I realize that I am not in the USA, but even at that, Canada is not far off from the USA when it comes to that kind of thing.

There will never be a perfect politician. I see your point of view but I detest armchair quarterbacks. I am not talking about you so please take no offense.
Obama was "Hope and change". I just "hope" I have enough "change" to buy gas to get to work. Bush(41) was "read my lips no new taxes"…yeah right! Clinton....where do I start. ;D Bush(43) has nearly bankrupted the USA with two costly wars.
The good: Obama is trying to secure a solution to the medical insurance issue in the USA. Bush(41) helped stabilize the US economy by helping Eqypt maintain some level of peace in the Middle East with operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Clinton like Reagan lowered the capital gains tax to stimulate job growth in the American marketplace. And finally Bush(43) ironically had his greatest success with his greatest mistake. For a brief time he helped us all understand that there is no democrat or republican, no liberal or conservative, no gay or straight but only America. It was short lived but I believe the lowest point in modern American history was also the greatest.
Were any of them great? No but at least by voting for them or against them, I as an American can say I tried to do my part.

I never really thought of it that way, but that does make sense
