      Hi everyone,

I switched back from using Google Chrome to Apple's own Safari webbrowser. Now i have a strange and annoying problem here. When I am browsing the lists of torrents and i like one that I see, i used to be able to 'CMD' + Left click on the title to open it in a new Tab, so I could continue browsing the list. Now with Safari I always get the 'You got 404'd' error on the newly opened tab, while when I simply left click on the link the page can be found. The same goes for right clicking on a link and select 'open in a new incognito tab'

Can the webmaster maybe tell me what goes wrong?

      Thanks guys!

        Hi,

It sounds like you've got some form of anonymous browsing setting activated in your Safari browser.

        See:  https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/how-to-private-browsing-safari

Turn on Private Browsing on the Mac

        Hold down Command+Shift+N. …
Search or browse the web as you normally would. ...
Close the window when you're done with private browsing.
Tap the Pages button, which is shaped as two squares in Safari's menu.
            Tap Private.
Tap the Search field to search for a site to visit.

Secondly "right clicking on a link and select 'open in a new incognito tab' " will always result this way, since incognitio tabs are sans remembered member name / password...

Same reason I cannot tweet from an article I've opened in an "Incognito Tab", since my twitter user name and password are not remembered within incognito tabs, by design.

        Hope this helps!

        Take care,
        Pawpcorn

If I'm not mistaken, Pawpcorn would be correct. There is a setting within Safari (although I do not recall where exactly) to specify the keyboard shortcuts for things. One of these settings will be the command for open in a new window, and the command for opening in incognito. If you have a traditional mouse, rather than one of the Apple branded one piece units, you may be able to accomplish the same result by clicking with the scroll wheel, rather than one of the buttons. Most browsers will acknowledge this type of click as an open in new tab/window action.

Did you manage to fix this problem?

Can you describe exactly the steps you took to resolve this problem, in order to help the next member that struggles with this?

              Thanks,
