      Earlier today, Bill Cosby's trial was declared a mistrial.
      The media are acting as if this means Dr. William Henry Cosby is acquitted.
      As shocking as this is to even me, lawyers and judges are often ignorant of the law. 
      Unless the mistrial was the fault of the prosecution, a mistrial means there will be a NEW trial.

        Not completely true.

        While they can have a new trial, it doesn't mean they will.  It's up to the DA.
