[Software Release] GayTor.rent Upload Utility
-
@kurtiscub Hi and sorry for the delay. I have been debugging the issue for the past few days but it seems that the server is rejecting all picture uploads made by GUU (all other functionality works as expected). I have messaged the site admin about this but haven't got a reply yet.
For now I will continue doing some tests and wait for a reply from the admin in the meantime. Sorry again for the inconvenience. -
It seems to be an issue with the website configuration on their end as it only happens on the new domain (gaytor.rent). If I modify GUU to use the old domain (.ru) all uploads work fine, which is also the reason QTM works at this time.
I have reported this to the admin and I hope it will be addressed. There is not much I can do right now other than making a temporary update so that GUU uses the old domain, but this will complicate things so I am probably not going to do that.

hello,is it normal that guu creates alot of uneccessary files, pad and such, torrent itself contains like 18 files but after creation its 52,pad and such?
-
@EugeneGabija-0 it is normal, padding files were introduced with Bittorrent protocol V2.
The purpose of padding files is to ensure that the beginning of every file will start in a new chunk. For now, it's not that important, and causes compatibility issues with crappy clients, so you can force GUU to use V1 instead.
Go to the settings, and then General tab, enable "Force legacy torrent creation" and your future torrents will not have padding files.

@EugeneGabija-0 this is what i was referring to when i said crappy clients don't go well with padding files. You should consider switching to a more modern/recent client like qbittorrent.
