Magnet client with search function?

Several years ago I had a magnet client on my computer that not only downloaded files accessible via magnet links, but also had a global search function that seemed to search lots of different sites and helped me find lots of downloadable material. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I know magnet links are not used as much now, and that uTorrent (and other clients) can accept a magnet link and download material. But I miss the search function--during my my first years on this site, that was my source for a lot of material that I uploaded here.
Any insights/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@eobox91103 for many years, I got almost all my porn from the USENET using the magical PAR files.
The USEnet got so overwhelmed with malware that it became USEless
ISPs used to offer FREE Usenet access, and when that stopped I even PAID for Usenet access.
If torrents ever vanished, it would be a cyber apocalypse!
