The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/Wii U)

Who's enjoying this game? I've started playing last friday on the Switch and I love it! I love it that you can do whatever you want to do. I'm spending more time in exploring Hyrule and completing the shrines. What's your progress with this game?

i really really want to
i've been watching gameplay videos nonstop trying to avoid spoilers, but it seems so far away the possibility of playing it that i'm about to give in and watch it all xD
that's sad. lol.

I actually have the Wii U version, and it's absolutely amazing. Probably the best Zelda game I've played since OoT (Ocarina of Time). I've completed 40 shrines and 1 dungeon, although I'm getting brave enough to venture into doing my 2nd dungeon soon, I just want to upgrade my clothing a bit more. The art style of this game is probably the best I've seen and I'm typically a PC and PS4 gamer, although I do have a special place in my heart for Nintendo, even though they can be a really terrible company sometimes.
I've actually heard and seen a lot of bad reviews about the Switch. Reviewers have complained about the plastic screen and how easily it gets scratched. Apparently many people have even had the dock scratch their screen badly just from docking it once. It also doesn't help that Nintendo says dead pixels are a completely normal and they won't return any Switch consoles that have dead pixels. These are just the main concerns I have and probably the reason I'll stay away from the Switch and stick with my Wii U for the next few years. Plus the Wii U has an amazing game library. What are your thoughts on this since you own a Switch?

I know the feeling. I'm also a PS4 gamer and a Xbox One gamer. But I steel feel conectend to Nintendo. So therefore I bought the Nintendo Switch to play Zelda. Ik getting a lot of heartcontainers as the boss battle is not that simple.
Regarding the hardware issues: I'm not a handheld gamer, so the Switch is most of the time in it's docking station. I also don't have dead pixels as far as I know. So I can't say anything about it. But I think every console is having it's issues at launch. So if you don't want these issues, just wait for a couple of months or a year. I can't promise though that these will be fixed by then.
